It's OK (The Movement Tribe Goes Dubbing)

This is the first installment of remixes for the lead off tune from our new Mother Father EP.  The first tune to drop is "Black Mother" which is a deep, eerie ride through a mysterious tech house cavern, an 8-track tune born out of our trip to Coachella this year, a hotel room production.  For this selection, we be descending down, down, down, many miles into the Earth, until we finally arrive at our destination, the Halls of Knowledge, where the great secret is revealed..."If you wish to know the Father, you must first connect with the Mother."  

The first remixer to be featured for this package is the underground phenom, known to many, simply as Suli.  Suli delivers two undeniable dance floor gems perfect for going deep in the big room.  His first take, the Sub Dub, is a relentlessly stomping piece of deep heat, with chunky drums and tech elements woven throughout the thumping bass-heavy tapestry.  Suli's Throwback Dub takes all of the best elements of the 90's sound, and subtly dials it back for a smooth and yet jackin' nod to the past. Aretha Franklin - Chain Of Fools(Milldyke Tribute)

This one is a lot more fluid, and more upbeat. A first attempt with actual acapella singing vocals, from the amazing Les Nubians' cover of Sade's "Sweetest Taboo" ft. Black Thought from The Roots. 

It seems to work, and again its a nice chilled track which suits Les Nubians, but I may try next time to break the background tune a little, avoid too much repetition. (The instrumental is again a modified, cut up and looped take on Psapp's cover of the Disney Classic from "Aristocats", which is a badass movie).
