MINI-INTERVIEW

What was your most significant club / festival moment?
"One of the most impressive and outstanding moments was on the Sonne Mond & Sterne Festival, where I got invited for a DJ Contest. My playtime was at 6 in the morning and the booth was located directly at the beach of the lake. The morning sun rose above the lake and around 1.000 people danced in front of me and startet screaming by one of my tracks. This was an absolute goosebump moment."

Who inspired you the most on your path as an artist?
"There are many artists who inspired me over the years, startet by Jan Hammer through whom I was "infected" with electronic music. But also Kerry Chandler, Dave Clarke, or Gorge - founder and owner of 8Bit Recordings, have influenced my musical path. But if you are asking about one special artist, I would name Kastis Torrau as his sounds and productions had impressed and influenced my a lot in the last past years."

What do you do to get into a creative state?
"Well, I would rather say that creativity is always inside me, sometimes it just hides and need to be a little bit tickled to come out. This could be a track to which I listen, a good coffee or a co-working session with a friend in the studio, or sometimes just the smile of my wife. There is no explicit way to get into that state."

Welcome to 2022, Happy New Year to all!

For our first session of the year we welcome Polyptych Records label boss Michon to the show.

Bio:

Michon (St. Petersburg, Russia) - DJ, sound producer, founder of the label Polyptych, author of Polyptych Stories radio show, artist of such labels as Superordinate Music, Somatic Records, One Of A Kind and others.

And really, Michon’s music is a mixture of different Melodic House / Techno genres, and his DJ-sets successfully balance between dynamic and atmospheric.

Winner of numerous remix contests, among which of an official remix contest for a hit-track “Angetenar” by Rompasso (the vocal version of the original is known as “Ignis“).
The author of official remixes for the tracks of such famous artists on the Melodic scene as Ewan Rill, Alexander Alar, Allies for Everyone, East Cafe, Alexey Romeo, and others.

Michon’s tracks and releases have repeatedly hit the TOP100 of Beatport and Traxsource, also supported by many DJs and producers on to the whole world. Having kick started his career as an artist who made acoustic music,
Clover gets his name from the four leafed plant.

He spent time making background scores in short movies and video games as well as working as a live sound engineer for music gigs. Moulding himself after finding spark in music from infamous Jan Blomqvist, Rodriguez Jr, Jon Hopkins and David August, Clover fixated on deep progressive and melodic music.

He has landed productions from popular international labels like ICONYC Records, NYLO (New York), Laika sounds (Las Vegas),  Spaghetti monster  (Moscow),  MIR Music (France), Soundteller Records (Poland) Abstract space records, Fantastique Sound (Armenia), Traum Schallplatten for Tour de Traum (Germany) and Bass Box Recordings (Brazil) in his fresh career. 

He was also listed as a feature in Beatport’s top 100 under Indie, Deep House & Progressive house charts several times. With his focus on production, Clover has releases lined up for 2021 so keep your ears to the ground.
