Joey Fehrenbach

Bio:

Joey comes from a long line of professional musicians including aunts and uncles who played for everything from symphonies to commercial jingles. He’s been writing music since he was thirteen and for the past twenty, he’s produced electronic music, starting with an old Mac Plus and a few old analog keyboards and an 8-bit sampler. For nine years he recorded dance tracks under the name Dream Traveler. One of his songs,” Time,” appeared on Paul Oakenfold’s Transport CD, one of the highest selling dance compilations of all time.

In 2006 he switched direction and started using his real name. “I wanted a more personal connection to the listener and the only name I could put on it was my own. Band names tend to mask the artist’s identity. There’s nothing more intrinsic than putting your real name on an album, and there’s nothing more personal than writing the most emotional music you can to express to others who you really are.” His goal was to eliminate boundaries and write emotionally charged, melodic music. He even self-released his first album on his own record label to avoid any outside influence.

His music has been used on TV shows like Steven Seagal: Lawman, History Detectives, and Earth 2100: ABC Special Report. Two of his songs, “Behold” and “Being Around You,” were included on Nick Warren’s Global Underground – Paris compilation.

His earlier release, Mellowdrama, topped downtempo and chillout radio charts and sold record numbers over the past four years. Before that, as Dream Traveler, he released numerous dance singles and remixes that became dance floor favorites, played by DJs including John Digweed, Sasha and Nick Warren

Depth Perception Sessions #43 - Joey Fehrenbach

ANMOL KHANNA' aka 'HYPNOTIC DESIRES' had an ear for music from his early childhood.He started learning Harmonium at a very early stage.His passion for music urged him to bunk classes and attend music sessions in schoool , which was worthwhile as he proved his excellence in school band.He won several prizes for music.
      When in college, he decided to devote himself to music which became his second nature .He started learning DJing at a local club to get into the depth of electonic music,and with each passing day his creativity increased.Musical chords fascinated him and the rythmic waves hypnotised him and took him to some other world.He worked hard to polish his skills and came out shining.
    He, with some of his music lover friends , formed a  Band and gave several performances which vere highly appreciated.But his thirst for deep learning knew no boundaries. So, around 2009, he independently started composing and producing sound tracks  which gave him wide recognition and then there was no turning back. 
    Starting with melodic records he also joind purple frequency records for a remix for an ep named infusion ep..he also won several competitions for poly university hong kong
Besides production, he continued DJing.He never stopped playing in reputed night clubs and events,where he rocked and with his 'down -to -earth' attitude became a heart throb of youngsters. In early 2013 he won a competetion for track 'BABY BOOM', for electric station records ,which took him to new heights.
    His enthusiasm and quest for the sparkling pearls in the ocean of melody calls for rythemic deep diving and he is all set to knock out with  influential and unmatched innovative style and sense of melody.With his strong passion for music he is determined to leave no stone unturned and with his hard work,seeks to touch the new HORIZON.
