Hard work and strong initial exposure at a variety of local festivals and venues is what gained Cedren & Manu-L good reputation and they have only grown bigger and stronger since; having started the Genesis events in Malta, hosting Dale Middleton, Mariano Mellino, Lonya, Graziano Raffa, Marcelo Vasami, Sonic Union, Petar Dundov, Khen, Nick Devon, Soul Button, Cid Inc & Dmitry Molosh.

Presently Cedren & Manu-L have been resident DJ's at one of the most renowned underground clubs in Malta, The Playground where together, they are sure to let you experience the energy joint talent can bring to the table.

Both, thrive to continue on this path of strong determination and resulting success.

Welcome back once again! Thanks for joining us for Episode #7 of The Depth Perception Sessions.

For this episode we welcome a true pillar of the contemporary electronic music scene, from the Netherlands: 

Paul Hazendonk.

Bio : 

Paul Hazendonk and his Manual Music record company are an essential part of the underground electronic music landscape. The kind and gentle Dutchman has been active as a label boss, deejay, and producer for nearly two decades, during which he performed in excess of 35 countries and has worked for labels such as Diynamic, Sudbeat, Einmusika, Kittball, Hope Recordings and Sony / Epic amongst countless others.

His independent record company Manual Music serves as a home for various record labels, several of which are headed by Paul himself. Deeply rooted in the electronic music scene, his company also takes care of the digital distribution-, label management, promo and publishing needs for numerous labels and artists.

In the earlier stages of his career, Paul honed and perfected his craft as a deejay through residencies at various clubs, including the legendary Las Palmas in Rotterdam. He got asked to play his first international gigs aged only 19 years old, and hasn’t looked back ever since, considering the fact that he’s performed anywhere from North America to Asia and from Australia to througout the whole European continent.

Although over the years he’s perfected his own distinctive sound, it’s not easy to pin Paul down and stick any one particular genre tag on him. He's an allround music aficionado first and foremost, who embraces the idea of a classic deejay, having total musical and artistical freedom. His sound is characterized by warm basslines and melodies, but always with an infectious drive, often blending elements of both house and techno music, also not shying away from the occasional sidestep into breakbeats or electronica.

Paul Hazendonk plays his DJ sets in the same way he’s running his record company; based on gut feel rather than being boxed in by fixed genres and trends. One thing is for certain: the vibe this true musical connaisseur radiates through his productions and deejay sets is always overflowing with true passion and love!

AorMos began as a DJ when he was 15 years of age and enjoyed playing electronic music more than two decades. In the beginning he was playing with the nearest sounds to the scene of House, to give a jump to Minimal at the end of 2000. 

And that year he got interested all the slopes of Techno, from its purer roots, spinning the more melodic vibes, deep sounds, and progressive aspects and looking always at producers and record labels that offer great quality in their productions.

In his DJ sets AorMos likes to realize the very supported and elegant mixtures of the tracks, and that the whole set has going and return of emotions, and that the energy does not decline in the session. And this way to be able to transmit a good trip of emotions.

Ian Dillon is a UK based Dj, producer and remixer who’s approach to Djing has been forged & influenced by the Global Underground series and of particular note Sasha & John Digweed. 

Ian’s style fuses both of these influences combining dark driving basslines with the ethereal melodies, soundscapes and atmospheric ambience.

As a Dj Ian has played events alongside John Digweed, Guy J, Quivver, Dave Seaman Darren Emerson and many more both In the UK & Abroad
