Biography
Born and raised in Washington D.C., David Rooks aka DiWrecked has held a long symbiotic relationship with electronic music and lifestyle. His first experience with underground dance music came at a warehouse party during a trip to Russia in the mid 1990s. This experience embedded itself into his stream of consciousness, helping to create a desire for a new medium. He brought this desire back to the States, and in 1996 DiWrecked had bought his first pair of 1200s. Determined to become the best, DiWrecked began to refine his personal style behind the decks and created a solid foundation on which to build his career.

After spending his entire life in the Washington D.C. area, DiWrecked found himself looking for a change of pace. In 2003 he moved to Massachusetts to settle down and plan out his career goals. Since his migration to the Northeast, DiWrecked has been striving to become a positive force in the Electronic Music scene. He brought with him a passion for EDM and its culture, looking for any way to support its cause.

DiWrecked is the founder and frontman for Beatdown Productions, a crew originating from a circle of close friends in the Washington DC area in 2000. Since then, the crew has spread out and grown in numbers, now with members in MA, CT, NY, MD, and DC. With the ongoing support of his crew, he has helped to support, promote, and produce a healthy dose of events on the East Coast and beyond.

Since moving to Mass, DiWrecked has taken the Northeast by storm. With hundreds of live performances under his belt, including various radio performances and shows in some of the best venues the Northeast has to offer, DiWrecked continues to leave his mark on the culture. With upcoming performances all over the East Coast, be prepared to see more of this artist on the rise.

DiWrecked's dynamic sound is an aggressive mash-up of Rugged Tech House, Deep Minimal, and Driving Techno. With his major influences coming from such DJs / Producers as Mauro Picotto, Adam Beyer, Spektre, Umek, Pedro Delgardo and more, he brings to the tables an ever-evolving, refined style of energy built to decimate dance floors.
