Aurélien est un sound designer, musicien et compositeur français. Amateur de Jazz et de musique orchestrale, il apprécie également la musique électronique.
C’est en 2015 qu’il décida de créer son projet Hypnotic Peafowl. Un projet psygréssive hautement musicale aux influences jazzy, funky et bass music.
En seulement trois ans, il a su se créer une véritable identité musicale, avec un sound design novateur, des basses envoutantes le tout accompagnés de véritables instruments ; c’est avec une grande dextérité qu'il travaille ses productions.
Véritable passionné, ce maître Paon ne se contente pas seulement de produire avec Hypnotic Peafowl. Amoureux de la culture musicale alternative il a deux autres facettes à son actif: Sallatiga qui est un projet dédié à la Bass Music.

Aurélien is a French sound designer, musician and composer. Jazz and orchestral music lover, he also enjoys electronic music. It was in 2015 that he decided to create his Hypnotic Peafowl project.
A highly musical psygréssive project with jazzy, funky and bass music influences. In just three years, he was able to create a true musical identity, with an innovative sound design, captivating bass all accompanied by real instruments; it is with great dexterity that he works his productions.
Lover of alternative music culture, he has two other facets to his credit: Sallatiga which is a project dedicated to Bass Music.

Proud to present you our third RETROFUTUR compilation, including 6 tracks by our most regular artists.

Endrik Schroeder opens the ball with the pure warehouse banger "Automated" ! The track's sonic intensity never falters, driven by a relentless rhythmic structure and saturated synthetic textures. The modulated layers and the syncopated break recreate the visceral urgency worthy of the underground raves of the 90s.

With "Happy End," Brandski distils a contagious euphoria, designed to set the dancefloor ablaze with collective joy. A leading figure of the Italian-French new wave, he creates a track as jubilant as it is unstoppable, where rhythmic mastery flirts with festive instinct. An invitation to luminous abandon: arms raised, shared smiles, communion guaranteed.

With "Eldorado" John Lord Fonda reaffirms his status as a key ambassador of French techno on the international scene. The track unfolds a relentless, extremely tense groove, where darkness becomes driving tension. A rigorous, almost martial sound signature, serving an uncompromising vision.

"White Light" by Panthera is a polished track that transports us on a euphoric journey. The heavy, incisive kick blends with atmospheric layers and heady arpeggios, creating a constant tension that culminates in thunderous drops. The whole thing is supported by a deep, vibrant bassline, typical of the 90s rave scene.

Once again, Berlin's My Secret Playground stands out as the architect of a muscular German nu-disco, flirting with the boundaries of techno. "Don't Panic" combines percussive pulses and dark tension, while distilling subtle reminiscences of the disco aesthetic. A masterful sonic hybrid, between retro hedonism and contemporary intensity.

Club Mayz delivers a masterful closing performance with "Tonight I Have To Hide", an electro track fueled by the raw heritage of Detroit techno and the dark textures of EBM. The track combines dramatic tension and synthetic precision in a nocturnal and introspective aesthetic.

This album builds the sonic foundation onto which I will build to bring emotions and stories from my home studio to your ears.

It's been four years since I started producing and this wouldn't have been possible.

These mixes will be in the same style of music that each artist will be presenting at the festival. In Episode 35, we present the Austr-alien psytrance/techno/prog producer, Oscar.... the one and only GROUCH. Oscar has been holding down soldout dancefloors worldwide and is a highly sought after producer that keeps the dancefloors moving the entire time. This legend is known locally for the now legendary "rooftop hopping party in NYC" hosted by the crew SYNC.

Ep. 35 - Fractalfest 2018 Minimix - Grouch

Verdama is part of the 5th studio album of Shalohim "Reincarnation".

This track is made in collaboration with the very talented MettāKin. We were talking one day on social media and one thing led to another. I asked him if he would like to do a collaboration with me and he told me he was working on a new track he thought would be a good base for this. After listening to the first 20 seconds i was sold and asked him to send me the stems, he did and this is the result.

This track also had her debute at the Mo:Dem festival where MettāKin was on decs, i myself am most honoured to have this played in front of an audience and this is one of the tracks i love having in my collection. It hold a very special place in my heart and i hope it will in yours too!
