This DJ set was recorded as a milestone to renew my roots in psytrance for 2024. It’s more than just a selection of tracks – it’s a one-hour journey through themes of self-awareness, active meditation, and rebirth, set in a transcendental, euphoric, melodic, spiritual, and contrasting tone.

The journey begins with a memory from the past, a reimagining of a track I used to open my set with. Then, we enter with a question: “Why?” in a mysterious and introspective atmosphere – an invitation to look within.

After this introspective phase, we reach a moment of realization and euphoria marked by the phrase “Wake up!” and the self-affirmation: “I AM God force.” From there, the set unfolds with increasing euphoria, cosmic and psychedelic themes. The penultimate track – Phoenix – suggests the end of the set and brings the theme of death and rebirth, while the final track introduces an atmosphere of active meditation and release: “Let go of yourself.”

This set is a representation of the sound I admire most and the messages I want to convey moving forward. I hope you can find something of yourself along this journey.

Este DJ Set foi gravado como um marco para renovar as minhas raízes para o psytrance de 2024. 
Ele é mais do que apenas uma seleção de músicas – é uma viagem de uma hora através de temas de autoconsciência, meditação ativa e renascimento em um tom transcendental, eufórico, melodico, espiritual e contrastante.

A jornada começa com uma lembrança do passado, uma releitura de uma track que eu tocava como abertura do meu set. Em seguida, começamos o com uma pergunta: “Why?” em uma atmosfera misteriosa e introspectiva - um convite para olhar para dentro.

Após o período introspectivo vamos a um momento de realização e euforia marcado pelas frase “Wake up!” e a afirmação de autoconsciência: “I AM God force”. Depois disso o set evolui com cada vez mais euforia, temas espaciais e psicodélicos. A penúltima track - Phoenix - sugere o fim do set e traz o tema de morte e renascimento e a última track traz uma atmosfera de meditação ativa e de desapego: “Let go of yourself”.

Este set é uma representação da sonoridade que mais admiro e das mensagens que quero transmitir daqui para frente. Espero que você possa encontrar algo de si mesmo ao longo dessa jornada.

Com raízes profundas na cena litorânea de Natal/RN, Layback Tone é o mais novo lançamento de PsyTrance dos produtores MetaTones e Recode – União do CEO Simetria com um dos fundadores da lendária Hallu Crew, uma das coletivos de Psy Trance mais antigos e respeitados na música eletrônica potiguar.

A faixa nasce da interseção entre duas paixões: a música psicodélica e o surf. Produzida em momentos de imersão criativa após sessões de surf, Layback Tone é uma homenagem sonora à manobra “layback”, considerada uma das mais técnicas e desafiadoras do esporte. O vocal sampleado, extraído de uma videoaula de surf, ilustra com precisão esse gesto fluido e arriscado, reforçando a conexão direta entre a narrativa musical e o universo das ondas.
