"Hunger" is a searing post-punk manifesto that transforms societal outrage into raw sonic energy. The track builds around a relentless bass line and sharp, angular guitar work that perfectly complements its unflinching examination of food insecurity in a world of abundance.

The verses paint a stark portrait of food bank reality—fluorescent-lit desperation where "lives are reduced to logistics" and "dignity slips further away." When the chorus hits with its haunting refrain "In the shadow of plenty, we stand in line," minimal synth textures swell beneath increasingly urgent vocals that build from controlled tension to righteous anger.

Midway through, the instrumentation breaks into chaotic, distorted territory as the lyrics shift from observation to accusation, calling out systemic failures with undisguised contempt. The track's climactic final section features multiple vocal layers that create a chorus of dissent, with the repeated mantra "Food is for everybody, not just for the rich" delivered with punk ferocity over increasingly frenzied percussion.

"Hunger" stands in the tradition of politically charged post-punk pioneers like Gang of Four and The Pop Group while incorporating modern production techniques that give its message immediate, visceral impact. A powerful statement on inequality that refuses to look away from uncomfortable truths.

Most of us don't have a lake but imagine the light outside your window, the rellections bouncing off the wall, the flickering of a candle, the color reflected in a mirror, the light moving in the shadows.  When listening, stare at the light somewhere in your space. Let your mind settle, begin to daydream, draw pictures in your head, and breathe deeply and fully.

This is Not a Lake
A lightkeeper watches, saves,
And nurtures the light.
He gives light to each living thing on earth,
A gift of love and hope, 
Inspiring dreams, imagination and memories.
YOU ARE THE LIGHTKEEPER
Cradle your thoughts with light.
Bring it into your space, wherever you are.
With a window of light…
A flickering candle, 
Dancing shadows on every surface,
Walls, glass, mirrors, water…
Scattering brilliance,
With strokes of fleeting illumination. 
Gaze at the wall of light and dark
As light moves—
Like a memory in the folds of your mind,
Shifting between stillness and longing.
Settle yourself in its glow;
Let it fill the quiet spaces.
Breathe.
Dream.
Draw color.
This is not a lake, but
It is a symphony of shadows and shine.
