This is the re-recording of mine & Rick Turner's classic set at Plasma Future, Joshua Brooks, Manchester in Oct 2010. The music policy for Plasma Future was very much focused on underground classics rather than your normal anthems, so for that reason Rick & I tried to pick out some of our more underground favourites as well playing the odd anthem or two. The set itself on the night went down brilliantly well, and i know from my point of view was one of my favourite gigs of 2010! brilliant venue and a brilliant crowd - would recommend!

Hello again, Happy New Year to everyone out there.

After another hectic year, another big project for me personally awaited as 2015 began. Somethng I know many of you anticipate every single year - the Global DJ Broadcast Classics Showcase. 

I can't believe that this would be the tenth edition.

When I was growing up and getting lost in music on the radio, some of my fondest memories involved listening to all the classic songs that would be played, particularly on New Year's Day. So the idea of doing a classics showcase once a year on GDJB was born out of those feelings.

It's always one of the most mentally challenging and emotionally demanding sets to put together, because somehow you want to create a journey that will be magical for everyone to listen to - regardless of how long you have been listening to all things electronica. For many of you, there will be a whole host of iconic tracks you will be hearing for the first time, and maybe even unearthed gems for the more seasoned folk.

So hopefully there is a nice spread of years represented throughout, and this is something that will resonate with you for some time to come. As a new year dawns, we can take a moment to celebrate the tunes and moments that define our era.

Hope you have a wonderful 2015, and hope even more that we can create some magical memories together.

I have always been a sucker for good songs and when amazing tunes like this drop into my inbox i feel like i have been the goodies on a silver platter.
On "Dance Pain" everything just sounds on point from beats, arrangement, arps and chords to the awesome vocal work done by JAW aka Nathan Daisy.
Rashid undoubtedly has a special flair for creating these hypnotic deephouse tunes.
I guess this is the follow up to "Night Prayer" from 2015. It definitely is just as good as that track and what a perfect opener for this Dark Stars 003 release.
Love at first listen for me and signed right away.
