25 years after its debut, Al@nis M@rissette’s iconic Grammy-winning alt-rock anthem, “Y@u 0@ghta Kn@w,” remains a rallying call for disenfranchised lovers worldwide. Back in the zeitgeist in Broadway’s “J@gged Little P1ll” as the show’s 11 o’clock number, the song is now gaining a following with a new generation. Alanis will be playing it live again when she’s able to get back out on her anniversary tour. Never before has this track received a big room remix, and now, for the first time, Stephen Jusko and DJ Blacklow have given it the progressive house treatment it's longed for - ready for dance floors from LA to Toronto and from NYC to Rio. 

We debated whether or not to release this remix during this period of social distancing (while there are no parties happening at which DJs could play it) or to hold on to it until normal life resumes again. At the end of the day, we decided that now was the time to share it, because there’s no time like now to bring folks a little more happiness through music... We can’t wait to play it when we finally get the chance to DJ again!

We will be donating 100% of our support/donations in 2020 to the LA LGBT Center, helping provide LGBTQ youth with life-saving services in times of crisis. Due to the coronavirus cancelation of the AIDS/LifeCycle, the LA Center has lost the main source of its annual operating budget and needs assistance!

House Is A Feeling (Vol. 5 | April 2020)

In times of crisis, it’s so easy to feel overwhelmed and surrounded by fear. Music is a tool to help us face that fear. 

My Memorial Day weekend podcast is always my favorite of the year — there’s something about that feeling of an endless summer just on the horizon that fills me with hope. Of course, this year is different. I’m sad not to be surrounded by LGBTQ revelers in Pensacola, Florida; it’s my favorite place to be over this holiday weekend and it’s where I was scheduled to DJ again this year. Instead, I hope to see many of you there again in 2021. 

In the meantime, please enjoy my latest. It’s a long one — in fact, it’s my longest podcast yet — I typically try to keep 'em under 90 minutes, but this time I just couldn’t; there was too much music I wanted to include. And moreover, this one was a journey; an emotional outpouring of uplifting energy. You may sense a theme if you go along for the whole ride. It also includes my new 25th-anniversary remix with Stephen Jusko of Alanis Morissette’s iconic anthem, “You Oughta Know.”
