For its third release Melbourne's Inner Sauce Recordins welcomes On-Ly to the carefully curated roster for his own full release after he appeared on the Inner Sauce Compilation volume 1 compiled by Horatio Luna.
On-Ly is the metastasising outfit of pianist, producer, and composer Joshua Smeltink. On-Ly is about hard-hitting groove music that crosses nu-jazz, psychedelic, house, spiritual-funk and hip-hop fused with long-form composition and wild improvisations. It’s a balance between the sound of Melbourne’s eclectic underground scene and those of Deodato, Azymuth, Joe Zawinul/Weather Report and Miles Davis (70s) Band, showcased beautifully on the ‘Anthochaera EP’.

"Consuelo" is the second single from his forthcoming album La Ilusión, Motivado's most recent production.

Composed in the middle of the pandemic in the city of Barcelona, Spain, this new track proposes an atmosphere and bass work linked to emotionality as a reflection and product of the times. Like a synthetic mantra, "Consuelo" is a work of resignation in a post-pandemic world, with one foot in the club and the other in the bedroom.

"Consuelo" was composed and mixed by Chilean producer Motivado, and mastered by Chalo G. Design by Dementira.

A collection of mid-tempo sludge for the heads down crew, the four tracks see the Les Yeux Orange and Needs alumni thread the needle between acid, EBM and cold wave, laced with her signature sultry vocals.

‘I Don’t Wanna’ wraps things up. A low slung bass line and steady drum beat is met by intoxicating bells that ring out overhead while Anastasia’s soft, heady tones keep the EP’s overall air of mystery alive.

Echoform” est une exploration sonore où la résonance devient rythme et la répétition, matière. Le morceau se déploie lentement, guidé par une basse pulsante et des échos qui se transforment en formes vivantes. Entre tension et fluidité, chaque élément semble respirer dans un espace infini, oscillant entre mécanique et organique.
Cette composition minimal techno plonge l’auditeur dans un état méditatif, où les frontières entre le son et le silence s’effacent. “Echoform” n’impose rien : il enveloppe, hypnotise et absorbe, comme une architecture acoustique en mouvement lent.
