Doxil returns to Bricolage with the follow up to 2020's "Anarchist Pacifism and Friends".

"Vert" sees the continuation and evolution of that signature Doxil audio vortex of rhythmic breaks, obscure samples and nods to the 90's rave scene but with an even clearer emphasis on creating a nostalgic atmosphere.

A sweet fusion of garage, breaks, ambient intermissions and IDM vibes that draws influences from a broad range of peers.

The release starts off in a contemplative mood with the opening downtempo tracks echoing memories of early Burial material amid a slew of slow burning UKG rhythms and moody backdrops to set the tone. The second half of the EP picks up the pace with Doxil flexing his knack for euphoria inducing catchy hooks on "Brio" before "Lil' Nova" crashes in to end the party with crisp beats and melancholy yet uplifting pads.

"Blindspot" is the debut EP from the mysterious Jonblund.

With a name that translates as "The Sandman" in Norwegian, the music plays up to that theme and beyond. A transcendent assemblage of tunes to soundtrack your dreams and slow down the time. The EP is a mixture of live instrumentation and analogue electronics threaded together with glitchy downtempo beats.

The meshing together of piano, horns, strings and synth alongside carefully manipulated digital landscapes makes for a progressive listening experience that at times flirts with the grandiose nature of things without ever becoming melodramatic. Each track breathing new life into the next and forming new textures and an organic aesthetic that flows throughout the release.
