Framework Recordings continues to establish itself as a key new label, with a fourth great EP, this time with Swiss artist O’Hana delivering the beats. 

This house music lover—real name Adrien O’Hana—hails from Lausanne in Switzerland and is a well-established DJ in his home country playing regularly at clubs like Folklor next to DJs such as San Proper. He’s also released on Grand Cru Paris and has an accessible, heartfelt house sound perfectly exemplified here. 

He opens his account here with the lovely ‘I Tried’, a tieless bit of classically informed house music. It has rolling kicks and choppy percussion all run through with warm, streaming chords and a joyful feeling. ‘Just 4 Her (Vox)’ is another lovely jam, with boom bap kick clap combos, dusty hi hats and feel good pianos fleshing out the beats with real soul.

On the flip, ‘Dream On’ is another mid-tempo gem with roughhewn drums laying down a heavy groove as soulful male vocal samples and big strings burst through and bring the whole thing to life. It’s house music for cosy, happy dance floors and the final track is a dub version of ‘Just 4 Her’ with no vocals and more emphasis on the breezy grooves and summery flutes. 

This is authentic house music that brims with charm.

These are timeless deep house cuts that are deceptively simple and superbly executed.

Colombia based Vagabundo Club Social aka https://soundcloud.com/jaimetuiran & https://soundcloud.com/pinedo-music are known for using organic sounds, disco, funk and house in their sets, inspired by classic house and by analog synth sounds of the 70's and 80's, they are the perfect fusion between electronic groove and caribbean flavor with Latin overtones, and sometimes even African rhythms and percussion, which give a new fresh feeling, color and meaning to what is known as electronic music. Amsterdam based Dutch/German DJ & producer Monty lands on house lovers’ favourite label Framework Recordings for an essential vinyl only EP that goes beautifully deep. Monty is a brilliantly diverse DJ and producer who jumps from drum crazed madness to jacking house to acid, disco or funk weaponry. He has a love for energising the dance floor that carries over into his productions and now Framework benefit from that with these four new essential tracks. The blissfully pad-laced deep house dreaminess of ‘Ingwa Jam’ opens things up. It’s an expansive track with jazz keys and spaced out grooves that are perfect for the early hours. ‘Ad Hoc Adams’ then bumps along at an inviting mid-tempo, with loose hits and rasping bass adding to the richness of the groove. On the flip, ‘Yamaha Army’ is a cosmic seven-minute journey with a soft acid line and noodling keys all taking you on a real trip into musical house of the highest order. Closer ‘Fluffy’ is a subtly joyous, uplifting track with muted euphoria in the keys and a heavenly atmosphere with weightless drums rolling below. This is timeless music stuffed with real emotion. 100 vinyl copies only, don't sleep !

On "Riskafe" EP we present 3 original tracks floating somewhere between melancholic house and wild breaks. In addition, his "Suspended" track got remix treatment by Kiev-based Zolaa. & Lostlojic who are both well know to NV followers thanks to their previous releases on the label.
