El 13 de abril de 1981 en Risaralda nació el artista de música popular Jhon Alex Castaño, conocido actualmente como ‘El Rey del Chupe’. Fue a sus 10 años cuando mostró esa gran afinidad por la
música y supo que su destino era ser cantante. El género de despecho lo cautivó y comenzó a recorrer varios municipios del departamento, encantado también por el recibimiento del público.
En el 2006 lanza su primer canción como solista llamada ‘Dices’. Luego presentó su primer álbum titulado ‘Un corazón que canta’, del cual surgieron sus éxitos ‘Déjala que se vaya’ y ‘De Bar en Bar’, canciones con las que se dio a conocer a nivel nacional. Gracias a la acogida que Jhon Alex tuvo en todo el país, este
cantautor se convirtió en uno de los exponentes más importantes del despecho, motivo que le dio el título de ‘Rey del Chupe’. Temas como ‘Sin Sentimientos’, ‘Aventurero’, ‘Amanecí contento’,
Descarada’, entre otras consagran a este artista en las emisoras del
género en toda Colombia.

Greg Sletteland's love of music was inspired by his mom getting piano lessons for him in elementary school and orchestra class in middle school in San Francisco.  Listening to DJ mixes on Saturday night radio he bought as much records as he could from Tower Records and was in his first DJ battle in San Francisco judged by DJ QBert in 1990 vs DJ Dino and was voted #3 DJ of 1,000+ DJ’s at that time in South Korea by Juliana Dance Magazine.  Later, DJ Greg started a Mix show on Radio Korea Los Angeles featuring the top 7 songs of the week with co host Lee Ki Sang. 

Greg Sletteland then founded the worlds largest record pool at the time with 1,400 DJ members.  This Soundcloud page is like a record pool with free download radio and club Remixes focused on the DJ.

Like Armin Van Buuren, Greg Sletteland has a legal background and practiced law for 5 years.

In love with the music and inspired by the touch screen interface of musical instruments on iPad mini and by analyzing the midi files of great artists, he started creating countless songs on Steinberg Cubasis which is still his favorite way to create music.   Songs are also produced using Cubase & and latest reFx Nexus on the fastest MacBook available using EV 15" Speakers to ensure club playability!
