Rebolledo and I have some unforgettable moments playing together on the playa through the past 10 years and every time it was an unpredictable journey through totally different musical dimensions. 

This b2b set on the Robot Heart is no exception. We traveled in time exploring different corners of dance music and I love how musically raw and diverse the set was.

Playing sunrises at Burning Man is always beyond special and a true honor. Doing it again, this time back on The Robot in which I hadn’t performed in a while, on the side of a good friend like Dj Tennis, in a burn as unique as this year’s… made it one of a kind.

I am so lucky to be able to celebrate my birthday on the bus each year, and I get to share these moments with the people I love.

On this special day when I am supposed to get older, instead… I feel younger.  Whoever has been in a desert before knows what energy and pureness lives in it, and what you as a person can gain from it.

On the Playa there is the possibility to be who you really are, and to give what you really have. This could mean you or something that is important to you.

I decided not to take any pictures this year, to see the place through my eyes and not a camera.  And every moment and every breath, got inside my soul. I was really careful not waste any of it. 

I want to thank all the people who were there to make this day such a special one for me.

Thank you Robot Heart for having me again and supporting our music with all your hard work.

A studio-head in the true sense of the word, YokoO’s last 20 years have seen him master house music in all its deepest forms. With a prolific and impressive discography, YokoO has made his mark on noteworthy labels to date with original releases and a back-catalogue of strong remixes.

He’s turned the heads of many a label boss from Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Matthew Dekay, Lee Burridge, and MANDY, as well as racked up plays from a broad spectrum of industry reference artists. YokoO’s music has proven time and time again it can reach the record bags of the DJing elite on every continent.

His most notable projects Pachamama and Euneirophrenia anticipated the evolution behind the January ’21 release of his EP Jivanmuktih on Crosstown Rebels’ offshoot Rebellion. 2021 marked for YokoO the rebirth into a significant new chapter of his career as a producer, with a matured musical intuition charged with seductive blends of eclectic, deep, minimal, and hypnotic house grooves.

Francesca Lombardo’s Echolette imprint celebrates ten years of releases in 2020. Throughout the decade, Francesca Lombardo’s Echolette has remained a pillar of excellence in the electronic music sphere. In celebration of ten years of releases, the leading Italian has curated a special In Retrospect mix to commemorate the sounds of both labels: Echolette and Echoe.

Across In Retrospect, Francesca has fused the two distinctive personalities of Echolette and Echoe into a timeless voyage of genres, feelings and emotions. Warm electronica, resonant techno and acid-tinged psychedelic breaks demonstrate the quality and depth of each imprint, as well as showcasing Francesca’s expert hand in curating the characteristic styles of both.

Launched in early 2010, this year marks the tenth anniversary of Francesca Lomabrdo’s Echolette. Since inception, the label has nurtured the careers of Hector, Nima Gorji, Birds Of Mind and more besides, whilst also springboarding several other of Francesca’s Italian contemporaries in the form of INTO YOU and II Faces. Six years later saw the creation of Echoe, a darker, more techno-oriented output that is often described by the label-head as the male counterpart to Echolette. Such contrasting styles have manifested in forging a symbiotic relationship between the two imprints, with the likes of Audiofly, Gel Abril, Cassy and many others releasing on Echoe in recent times.
