Echo Fuel is the debut EP of Francesco Devincenti on his brand new label Gasolio Dubplate Series where Francesco sets the tone for what it’s going to be his sonic exploration over the next few years.
The two tracks are an ensemble of dynamic and heavy drums, weighty atmospherics and unrelenting tension.
These classic raw dub-sounding tunes are the result of combining different types of hardware: Francesco’s specialty, modular synths and effects mixed through an analogue desk, as the classic technique used in roots reggae dub postproduction.
It's hard to identify “Echo Fuel” with a specific genre: there are traces of Jungle, Dubstep as well as ambient soundscape, but the vibe can be tied to the classic UK sound.

Multipurpose artist Francesco Devincenti is an Italian-born, Berlin-based DJ, producer, sound designer and live performer. Hardware, modular systems, synthesis, sound design, studio techniques and effects ‌make his sets complete all-rounders, making him an immersive DJ specialising in vinyl-only sets. He draws inspiration from the Jamaican reggae/dub sound and has consistently been moved by technical revolutionaries such as King Tubby, Scientist and Horace Andy, along with the British sound aesthetics of Adrian Sherwood and On-U Sound, Paradox and LTJ Bukem. Berlin vibes like Maurizio and Mark Ernestus, plus artists like Luke Slater, Shed also influenced ‌at times his musical evolution, Aphex Twin, Rephlex, Luke Vibert, Christian Vogel and Vladislav Delay. An eclectic background has led Francesco to blend these genres, bringing to life an unpredictable sound that ranges from techno to ambient, and from dub vibes to distorted grooves and jungle beats. Taking advantage of his work with Analogcut Mastering, he recently launched his own label "Gasolio Dubplate Series" where he undertakes the entire production process, from music composition to vinyl cutting.
