Komponiert im Jahre 2018, ist das Woodwind Quintet N°2 dem Lux/CH-pentaTon Quintett gewidmet. Das Werk besteht aus 5 stilistisch unterschiedlichen Sätzen, von tonal bis a-tonal und ist verlegt bei der Schweizer Edition Kunzelmann (weltweite Distribution durch die Edition Peters, New York, London, Leipzig). Die UA fand am 9.12.2020 in Ettelbrück (L) statt (Corona-bedingter Live-Stream aus dem CAPE).

"Under the Rainbow" and Children's Music

The solar eclipse was this week. It was just a small bite out of the moon in my location, but I remember the totality experience from 2017. 

So I wrote a kid's song about the eclipse, and "under the rainbow" just seemed to fit.

Adolescence

There was a time when in late afternoon
    The four-o’clocks would fold up at day’s close
Pink-white in prayer, and ’neath the floating moon
    I lay with them in calm and sweet repose.
