Everyone’s favourite bangin’ Brisbane duo X CLUB. ready up four typically in your face cuts of driving, textured techno on 1Ø PILLS MATE that have us dreaming of giant warehouses and sweaty hugs. Channeling big rave energy from grime, electro and breaks - and ultimately using this influence to texture their heavy sound - the pair take inspiration from the 90’s rave movement and contemporary experimental artists.

‘Turning A Blind Eye To This Nonsense’ delivers on the escapism it promises, staying true to the driven aesthetic that the duo have become known for; sirens blaring, deep atmospherics and uncompromising rave. Fellow Australian Mutant Joe is enlisted on ‘Silo’ - an acid dipped techno-electro workout spawned from the depths of hell.

The record's biggest moments arrive on ‘Beta Rays’, where both the artist's interest in sound design and sonic engineering across their respective solo projects really shines across 8 minutes of cinematic rave. Managing to capture the nostalgic rave feeling that Bicep’s ‘Glue’ channelled to roaring success, X CLUB. serve up an emotionally-driven journey that is destined to dominate sound systems around the globe.

Their UK influence is felt most heavily on ‘300mpbs’ (½ of the duo, Benedict Clarke, is actually from Bristol); a gnarly cut of snarling drum & bass influenced breaks that is sure to incite a gun-finger trigger rush in the club.

PREMIERE: X CLUB - Turning A Blind Eye To This Nonsense [1Ø PILLS MATE]

The Manifest Collective follow up their debut release with a 6 track Various Artist EP from some of the countries rising producers. Today we premiere a track from FÍACHRA entitled 'Bad Habits'.

Bursting onto the scene back in 2019 throwing parties in Dublin, the crew welcomed the likes of Remco Beekwilder and Thomas P Heckmann to the capital, before Covid put a halt to the world's dance plans.

The Manifest Record label is due to launch their second compilation on June 11th, featuring tracks from Carlton Banqs, D.A.L.I.E.N, Libra, RAMKKA and FÍACHRA, whose track we premiere today.

FÍACHRA started producing house and techno in his home studio back in 2016, and has since gone on to develop his style towards the harder, fast paced side of acid techno. With a broad taste in music, he takes influence from trance and hard house, among others. As he continued to develop his style, he began releasing tracks on SoundCloud, culminating in his debut '1998' EP on 'Platform Dublin' last year, plus a whole host of labels since. 

In the wake of the pandemic he formed a collective called 'Express Galway' with hometown friends Shane Gleeson (SMBG) and Tom Fallon, with the aim of promoting mixes and tracks from up and coming Irish DJs and producers. They also plan to release their first Various Artist compilation this year with much more planned under the Express label in the near future.

'Bad Habits' gives a sense of what to expect from the release, as FÍACHRA brings the noise with a slamming hard house track with trance elements throughout, and heavy rave samples ending in a wicked breakdown. Suns out, volume up!

'With inspirations spanning from Samurai Movies of the 1950's across Hip-Hop from the 80's, to white-labelled tool-techno records and Anime from the 90's, Narciss has catapulted themself into the contemporary hard dance spotlight with a flurry of furious cuts on Lobster Theremin and 1Ø PILLS MATE, and now the German producer readies four synth-wavey bops of pop-techno and hardcore on Eurodance Inc.

Staying true to the Eurodance aesthetic, and following one of the year's most well received dance music records in DJ Heartstring’s ‘4 The People’, ‘House Of Pleasure’ displays Narciss’ love for splashes of colour amongst the usually-grey Berlin soundscape. Taking as much influence from the golden-era of trance electronics as it is the Tresor heyday, it’s gradual incline from techno to eurodance is completed on ‘Power 2 Tha People’; a cut of deep trance that touches the border of cheese whilst maintaining a headsy, underground appeal.

‘ADHDisco’ is a warped sequence of classic soul nostalgia and high speed futuristic brain-dance that plays out like an alien discovering Northern Soul for the first time, before the classic hardcore synth patterns and unrelenting kicks of ‘Lovechild (LOVE MIX)’ lay the foundation for a soulfully transcendent cut of classic Chicago and hard-house blends.'
