I was inspired to write the first couple of lines after looking out of the skylight on a dark night and seeing the stars right across the sky.  I was also influenced by a book I was recently given, it's about the countryside and was originally a gift to my parents on their honeymoon in Bude in 1948. This book is absolutely beautiful and very inspirational.  This book is full of nature, beauty and love and emotion belonging to my parents.  I wrote this love song for my husband.
