On the remix front, burgeoning UK producer Hot Since 82 delivers a truly exceptional reworking. The man behind Circus recordings delivers another poignantly penned vocal cut with the follow up to 'Beg', featuring the soothing and heartfelt vocals of Alexander East. Set against a backdrop of melodic and melancholic synths, the down tempo percussion and intermittent nostalgic piano loop cleverly compliment the self reflective lyrics, helping Yousef tell his emotive story of hope and self esteem. This is another sophisticated, multifaceted cut, designed just as much for the dance floor as it is a genuine narrative, once again exemplifying his intelligent and refined production skills.

In stark contrast the Catz 'n Dogz remix couldn't be any further from the original, the vocal having been stripped away leaving it devoid of its former emotion. Instead the intricate fusion of percussive sounds and experimental patterning of breakdowns, coupled with a thumping 'in yer face' bass line and low end reverberating synths, make it an ideal track for getting down and dirty. To complete the package is Fred Everything's Lazy Vox Remix is a more obvious and straight up club ready reworking of the original with its up tempo rhythms, dynamic bassline and chopped up vocals. And with Fred Everything's Lazy Dub thrown in for good measure this is, in short, a perfect party package.

Leftroom Ltd employ some crafty A&R and licensing skills and are set to re-release Land Shark’s classic, ‘Tie Me Up’, alongside Chicken Lips’ original remixes and new versions from Yousef and PBR Streetgang.

Originally released on Coco Machete in 2003 before being snapped up by PIAS and augmented with remixes from Andy Meecham and Dean Meredith aka Chicken Lips, ‘Tie Me Up’ quickly became an underground hit. A long time fan of the originals and Chicken Lips Remixes, Leftroom’s A&R Matt Tolfrey has spent the past few years securing a license for the release.

Named after the city's area code - lyrically the track is an homage to the city's resilience in the face of constant hardships - to give birth to a musical genre and movement that has touched the lives of millions around the world. 

The flip side - "212" is not actually named after New York City's dialing code as one might suspect - but is rather the temperature (in fahrenheit) that water turns from a liquid into a gas (pretty fucking hot).  The words - courtesy of the one and only Ray Winstone - from the incredible film "Sexy Beast" - underscore that hot feeling we've all experienced in our favorite neighborhood 'sweat on the walls' nightclub. Ok so maybe it wasn't 212 fahrenheit in the club - but you get the point!

Franco Cinelli was born in Rosario, Argentina in 1978. He's one of the most well known techno DJ/Producer in Argentina. Being just 14 years old, he started his djing career. Interested in drums, he started to research about creation and development of music thru computers and samplers. In 1995, inspired by the sounds of Detroit, he made his very first tracks. As the years were going thru, Cinelli was gaining experience, and became a key player in the argentine scene. His DJ sets are an harmonic blend between different styles rounded by a flawless mixing technique.
