Super smash bros

Up early again and waiting on a delivery so delivering on my promise of a second part to the medley. This was annoying to make, mostly because of only having my 1010 now (HDSP 9652 is now being refurbished). Another hour or so of playing with ideas and themes using Sonic as a base. It's the second medley with bits from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. As before there was a little creative interpretation of some parts of the original song melodies.

This is a mini orchestral cover of the shop theme from Zelda Ocarina of Time. I'd never paid much attention to the Zelda music until recently. I wish I had gotten into it much earlier as there's so many good pieces of music hidden behind 8bit blips and blops. I tried to keep faithful while adding a little of my own style.

Zelda OoT - Shop Mini Song Orchestra

An orchestration of the Overworld 2 theme from Super Mario Brothers 3. I kept faithful to the original with a few wiggly improvs here and there. It was a practice in a closer, more intimate orchestral setup. I kept a few detunings and weird things here and there to give it a bit less of a Hollywood feel and more like you've gone to see a crazy orchestra playing some Mario - hopefully that comes across.

Super Mario Brothers 3 - Overworld 2 Orchestra

A quick orchestration of the Donkey Kong Country theme. This started of as a slow somber piece, but I changed it up. I wanted to give it a feeling of some kind of epic Donkey Kong Country movie with Donkey Kong preparing for some kind of final showdown. I actually remixed this game's theme when I was a about 12 (I'll post the embarrassment to my informaldummeh channel a bit later). This new one is just a quick doodle to test out some techniques/libraries/newly recorded samples.
