After debuting with their well-received album "Unrevealed Secrets Of Ruin" (2013) and critically acclaimed second album "Death Poems" (2015), Dutch five-piece group The Fifth Alliance is back after nearly four years with the new album titled “The Depth Of The Darkness”. Powerful and dark, the new effort consists of five new tracks that masterfully blend a bleak and gritty sludge with a gut-wrenching doom and hypnotic post-black metal. Recorded by Tim de Gieter at Much Luv Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, Portland, “The Depth Of The Darkness” is aggressive and caustic yet loaded with plaintive ambiences and real and deep emotions.

Champaignboyz are a team of fanatic turntablism hobbyists existing out of the regular teammembers Nikolai Valeev, TisNix, Mr B. and Thafish, regulary added by various independent artists from their home region.

From 1998 to 2008 various members were professionally active in the Dutch dancescene as DJs and (pioneering) VJs. With performances in Clubs and various festivals within the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. Beside that we also collaborated with various Dutch and foreign artists and event organisations. Occasionally we still break out the turntables and VJgear to have some oldfashion fun.

Our name derives from a wordplay on two words and meanings. During performances one of our trademarks was to drink Champagne, though we use the word Champaign. Champaign is oftenly misused in English from the correct Champagne. Champaign has its own meaning as it refers to a certain type of open flat countryside. We used Champaign as we have roots in the Dutch Countryside and love our Champagne.
