Descubre los placeres de la música en los ochenta a través del rock, a la par de jornadas semanales de música clásica que le programaba su padre (conocedor y amante de la música). Poco después le atrajo la variedad que proponía el pop y por otro lado los mensajes del Hip Hop, siendo ya en la adolescencia donde comenzaría a interesarse seriamente por la música electrónica, la cual le transmite un conjunto de sensaciones y posibilidades que se manifiestan en forma de largas sesiones de artistas franceses como Jeff K, Dimitri From Paris o Daft Punk, además de otros exponentes de UK y USA como principales referencias.
Es entonces cuando descubre el sentimiento “underground”, en una ciudad como Madrid que en aquella época brilla por su excelente oferta y calidad, sin desmerecer el presente reciente. Así pues, sin haber realizado una mezcla antes y por no incomodar a sus colegas que ya contaban con equipos propios, mientras compagina trabajo con estudios, decide comprarse unos technics y todo lo que ello conlleva para ponerse manos a la obra en lo que sabía que sería su gran pasión.
Durante este tiempo ha mezclado en variedad de eventos y clubs fusionando estilos a lo largo del país y a nivel internacional. Con participaciones puntuales desde joven en radios locales, raves esporádicas y eventos varios que también promociona, con el tiempo va fraguando su propio estilo tras los platos actuando en salas como Morocco, Charada, Barbú, Kyotto etc. además de otros destinos nacionales e internacionales. Casi veinte años después se confirma que acertó con la compra de aquel equipo pues  su devoción por la música y  el formato vinilo no ha hecho más que crecer en el tiempo, con un estilo muy marcado por el funk, soul y disco, Peterson comparte con nosotros una sesión que resume fielmente sus preferencias a la hora de ponerse tras los platos y transmitir vibraciones. Sin más dejamos que disfrutéis del viaje que nos acerca con entusiasmo a Kintsugi para que lo cates donde quieras, con quien quieras y cuando quieras!

20 releases! That is no small achievement!
Greyscale wishes to thank it's loyal listeners with a special treat from their founder. grad_u went deep into the archive and has collected 12 unreleased before tracks ranging from 2006 to 2016. This goes back to the time of his very first releases up through to the beginnings of the Mood Series! In those 10 years there is a lot of various sides to the grad_u sound that this highlight's. From powerful bangers like 'Helix' and 'Nuclear Reactor' to dancefloor gems such as 'Biomechanics' and 'DX'. Then there are sure fire winners for the tech fans with 'Vacuum Cleaner' and 'Machine'. grad_u hasn't forgot those that love it extra deep with 'Taip Laukiu' and 'Bounce 06'. There is also a few special checkpoints along the way in this release that will help you bookmark all these great tracks. In a time where dancing with others is forbidden, and most clubs in Europe remain closed, we felt it was time to shift gears. The fourth edition of our compilation series SOMEWHERE is best enjoyed lying down.15 tracks that will chill you out, put you at ease and comfort you in this difficult year.

It will not surprise you there is a strong Dutch presence on SOMEWHERE IV. Machine master Mattheis (best known for his stunning work on Nous’ Klaer) showers us with beautiful arpeggio’s that seem to stem straight from his modular. Fader from Borneo (but actually from Rotterdam) takes a much different approach, with long floating chords that move up and down like the surge near the shore after a violent storm. And then there is the sample wizardry by the experienced producer Love Over Entropy, who tackles analogue sounds and lets them run rounds in ever smaller concentric circles. It’s as hypnotic as it is intriguing.

There is something for everyone on SOMEWHERE IV. As long as you’re cool with absent kickdrums or aggressive hi hats. In fact, there is room for a kick. On the wonderful wonky 'Endure', by Utrecht based knob tweaker Vela Uniform. It’s one of the highlights of the album and it reminds us of the heydays of Warp’s Artificial Intelligence Series. Yes, it’s that good.

Another gem is 'Sometimes' by Machines of Loving Grace, an alter ego of the veteran dj & producer Eric de Man. He takes us to a nearly deserted rain forest, where birds and insects seem to go around in slow motion. De Man made this melancholic highlight more than 13 years ago. It clearly stood the test of time.

Ambient music has been around long before Brian Eno gave the genre it’s name. But over the last few years and thanks to a string of strong releases by artists like Huerco S, Kara Lis Coverdale and Kaitlyin Aurelia Smith, the genre is on the rise again. SOMEWHERE IV is the perfect antidote for stressful times and the sorrow of a closed down nightlife.

In recent years his action has been more constant on Soundcloud or especially Mixcloud, a community in which he directs his sessions in different directions: some 4x4 focused on the dance floor, mixing house, techno and others in many of its branches, with sessions more eclectic and with a more experimental approach.

On his own Mixcloud channel he also publishes mixes of other DJs in various series such as “Secret Sun Society” seeking to connect people and talents from these two environments: that of his place of origin and the virtual one.
