"From the futuristic hybridism between popular Brazilian rhythms and electronic music, "Batuque Sideral" was born, the first EP in Bruno Afterall's career Marked by his experience as a children's teacher, Bruno Afterall a.k.a Bruno Amaral develops a creative approach that seeks more playfulness and less rationalization during the process. Self-taught musician, producer and DJ from Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais/Brazil), Afterall has been studying music for many years and deepening his research on Brazilian popular rhythms and from this study the first EP of his career was born - Batuque Sideral - composed of two mesmerizing tracks. In the first track, "Sanfona Sideral", the sound of baião, typical of northeastern Brazil, is explored in association with synthesizers and electronic drums, thus creating a futuristic hybridism between the northeastern genre and House Music. Such associations happen through the mixture of organic percussive elements, typical of Baião, such as agogô and triangle and the calves and cowbells of Roland 707, by the mixolydian scale shared between the accordion samples and synthesizers and even by the similarity of the rhythmic cells of the Baião and Breakbeat. On the second track, "E-jexá", the foundation comes from the African rhythm Ijexá, brought to Brazil in the 17th century by the enslaved Yoruba. The rhythm was spread in Brazil by the artistic manifestations of Afoxé's groups. The track invites the listener to an immersion, with continuous synthesizers and a dense timbre with a clear trance influence, still in a futuristic aesthetic. The idea of this EP is to create unusual bridges between the chosen musical genres, connecting organic and traditional rhythms with electronic music through a mixture of sounds from both worlds."

Nassim Mehran might have the best energy ever! Everyone who knows her knows exactly what I mean. She has that positive life force surrounding her, like a Jedi. It is, at least for me, very easy to get sucked into that energy and I love that about her. That same energy, that happiness, transpires so well when she dj's. It is just a delight to observe and especially since her technique is so on point. She know's what she is doing and it feels like it came natural to her since birth. You can also hear and feel that energy in her track selection. This mix is no exception. It takes no prisoners. It starts on a very warehousey techno feeling, soon to be effected by percussion and a very nice carnival techno aspect. Then a little minimal, then a little housey, old school meets new school and in the end it gets a little darker and hypnotic. Perfect for the early mornings and for the late nights. It really doesn't matter. It's perfect for whenever. Thank you Nassim for making this mix for me, I appreciate it and I adore you. Salute! 

Two things I have to mention before I stop here. One being that Nassim has released her own music together with Swedish legend Zoo Brazil on the label Panterre Musique. Go to her page and check that out together with a bunch of dope mixes. Second and maybe the most important thing here... Me and Nassim grew up in the same part of Stockholm (Vallentuana). I know... Mind Blown!

Back in 2019 the first release on the label was the Dylosium EP from Mens Aperta. That deep and dreamy techno sound was also captured around the same time in this mix. Mens Aperta (meaning: open mind) seeks the depths in techno, dub techno and other electronic music.

Primal Rhythms combined with earthy yet electronic sounds fascinate Frango.
As a music aficionado Frango has collected various music of many styles on CD and Vinyl. It has always been important for him to involve like-minded people and let them take part in his musical trips through mix tapes and parties. It’s especially the diverse methods and ways of using these two media that keep him intrigued. His sense of music and mixing techniques were constantly refined through new compilations.

Since some time he felt the need to dive deeper into the possibilities through the ever simplified possibilities of home recording which inevitably created a stronger sense and understanding for new tracks and how to integrate them into exhilarating DJ-sets.
Frango will continue to process the ever constant flood of new music into mixes which will be made available to all curious followers. The national/international contacts will be tended to on a bigger scope than just the own label and radio stations in order to grow more. Frango hopes to keep his imagination fired for new projects and compilations by continuing to collaborate with congenial artists, using the synergies and impulses evoked in each other.
