Liquid Soul "Classic live set"

This is a showcase mix of STEVE OOOD’s psytrance productions under various guises and collaborations. Steve is a founder member of the band OOOD (Iboga Records, Phantasm Records, J00f etc.). He has two solo projects at the moment- 'Banyan' ( Up Records & Phantasm Records) and 'Steve OOOD' (Phantasm Records). He is one half of 'The Weavers' with Cylon (Phantasm Records) and one half of 'Banyatti' with Psydwards ( Sofa Beats & Phantasm Techno). He has co-written/produced some of Psytrance / Goa Trance classic tracks back in the 1990's, as part of 'Rotatum' (Matsuri Records) 'Unconscious Collective' (Flying Rhino Records) and 'Pharmarama' (Wider Recordings) and has contributed to many more. He has always had a mission to create dance floor ecstasy by producing truly trance inducing music that is aimed solely at uplifting the spirit and inspiring compassionate consciousness.

From the very first pulse, “Deeply Madly” establishes its identity through a lush, immersive atmosphere that gently envelopes the listener. The track unfolds with patience and purpose, beginning with a minimalist rhythmic architecture—soft, tactile percussion and a muted kick that gives ample breathing room. As layers build, the production reveals its subtle complexity: melodic motifs shimmer in and out of focus, dreamy pads swell and recede like distant tides, and warm analog textures saturate the midrange, lending the track a lived-in, organic feel.

A defining feature is the melodic hook—a wistful, haunting motif that emerges gradually, laced with longing and restraint. It’s not just melody for melody’s sake, but a narrative device that pulls the listener into an introspective headspace. The emotional arc of the piece walks the line between melancholy and resolve, evoking the sensation of memory—both faded and vivid.

Ha.arp’s strength lies in his ability to balance intimacy with dancefloor sensibility. Aardvark is the solo psytrance project of Nigel Shiva valley, a medium-sized, burrowing nocturnal mammal with a long pig-like snout used to sniff out food. He roams over most of the southern two-thirds of the African continent, avoiding mainly rocky areas. A nocturnal feeder, he subsists on ants and termites, which he digs out of their hills using his sharp claws and powerful legs. In his spare time he writes groovy psychedelic tunes for the night time, and does all kinds of other cool shit, including this exclusive summer 2017 Radio Ozora mix, which contains music from his upcoming releases including his second solo ep which will be released later in the summer.
