VV Cephei, also known as HD 208816, is an eclipsing binary star system located in the constellation Cepheus, approximately 5,000 light years from Earth. A red supergiant fills the system's Roche lobe when closest to its companion blue star, the latter appearing to be on the main sequence. Matter flows from the red supergiant onto the blue companion for at least part of the orbit and the hot star is obscured by a large disk of material. The red supergiant primary, known as VV Cephei A, is currently recognised as one of the largest stars in the galaxy, with an estimated solar radius of 1,050.

Con ‘Skudde’, Fank entrega uno de los momentos más directos y físicos de su próximo EP Deepsheep, marcando su segundo lanzamiento en Schall & Lauch. Previsto para el 13 de diciembre de 2025, el EP canaliza una energía de groove cruda a través de un enfoque lúdico pero plenamente orientado al club, y ‘Skudde’ destaca como el corte más enfocado a la pista.

Construido sobre un low-end compacto y rodante y una estructura rítmica sin rodeos, ‘Skudde’ se apoya en líneas de bajo profundas y musculosas, manteniendo al mismo tiempo un arreglo ágil y dinámico. El groove se despliega con paciencia, encajando en un paso hipnótico diseñado para funcionar en sesiones largas de DJ, donde los cambios sutiles y la presión sostenida importan más que el impacto inmediato.

Fiel al enfoque de Fank, el tema equilibra funcionalidad y carácter. Hay un sentido del humor latente bajo la superficie, pero la ejecución se mantiene centrada y efectiva: un track que no complica su objetivo, pero que evita sonar genérico. El resultado es una pieza que funciona igual de bien en contextos de club nocturnos como en entornos de pista más lúdicos.

Deepsheep toma su concepto del relato irónico de Fank sobre dejar la panadería para convertirse en pastor, pero musicalmente todo gira en torno a la disciplina del groove y el impacto del bajo. ‘Skudde’ captura ese espíritu a la perfección: terrenal, impulsado y hecho sin complejos para la pista de baile.

With ‘Skudde’, Fank delivers one of the most driving and physical moments from his upcoming Deepsheep EP, marking his second release on Schall & Lauch. Set for release on December 13th, 2025, the EP channels raw groove energy through a playful but club-ready lens, and ‘Skudde’ stands out as its most floor-oriented cut.

Built around a tight, rolling low end and a no-nonsense rhythmic framework, ‘Skudde’ leans into deep, muscular basslines while keeping the arrangement agile and dynamic. The groove unfolds patiently, locking into a hypnotic stride designed to work in extended DJ sets, where subtle changes and pressure over time matter more than instant payoff.

True to Fank’s approach, the track balances functionality with character. There’s a sense of humour beneath the surface, but the execution remains focused and effective — a track that doesn’t overcomplicate its mission, yet avoids sounding generic. The result is a piece that feels equally at home in late-night club contexts and more playful dancefloor environments.

Deepsheep takes its concept from Fank’s tongue-in-cheek narrative of stepping away from the bakery and into shepherd life, but musically it’s all about groove discipline and low-end impact. ‘Skudde’ captures that spirit perfectly: grounded, driving and unapologetically made for the dancefloor.
