Leading with the dramatic and theatrical title track “Customer Is King”, the EP also sees Diynamic Music, the Hamburg-based imprint founded by Solomun and Adriano Trolio, celebrate its 100th release, passing the impressive milestone with a trusted and well refined musical recipe that has seen the label rise to be one of the most successful and supported underground labels of the last decade.

Following on to “Dre”, which is sure to find its way into many a summer sets is a musical tip of the hat to the early West-Coast sound that was popularized by music icons such as NWA, 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Warren G and most notably, Dr. Dre.

“Ich Muss Los” (German for “I have to get going”) delivers a more compelling and industrial mood, akin to many an applauded dark, early morning set from Solomun himself.

Now with both the labels anniversary and 100th release behind them, Solomun and the Diynamic label continue to harmoniously innovate at a pace that surpasses their contemporaries, pushing their creative boundaries in and out the DJ booth.

Alex Metric & Ten Ven’s „Transmission 1“ is their first release on Diynamic, although their productions are not unheard of in the label’s orbit as Solomun has been supporting them heavily in his sets throughout recent months.

Opening track “The Q”, much like the closing track “Plates”, are reminiscent of old UK garage raves with a hint of acid. Minuscule shifts in the pitch give that certain cassette-nostalgia, transporting the listener back to the early 90s.

The centre piece titled “Nebula” is a driving melodic deep house tune with a hefty break that brings things to a halt right at its centre, only to return with the catchy riff that is its main feature.

‘Through Me’ is an all-cylinders, propulsive elasticated house track while ‘Nothing But Pleasure’ is eight-plus minutes of unstoppable Metallic KO disco. Both tracks reiterate the point that Tom is unarguably one of the greatest producers of club music around.

The 12” vinyl will be in the shops within the next couple of weeks; the download will follow a few weeks afterwards.

Tom Rowlands: “These are tracks that were made to DJ with. I gave them to Erol to road test; he loved them so it seemed a perfect fit for Phantasy – I love what he does with the label. The Chemical Brothers haven’t any plans to release new music this year – we’re soon to start work on a new record – so this 12” seemed an exciting way to get music into clubs now.”
