The Extended 30 Year Frankie Bones Homage Mix is a tribute to one of the best tracks of the early 1990's Rave Era.   The go to song for anyone who might of found themselves on the dancefloor in 1991, 1992, 1993.  

Paying attention to detail this one was mixed with care.  PLUR.

So here we have a version of the 1990 classic which is one of the better works I've done in recent memory.  A song/track that has been remixed to certain death. The FLIP.  It's like any Remix/Redux/Edit official or not.  You want to personalize the track and make it into your own.  Dominator was top shelf material through the 90's.  So with the next generation FACTORY mixes, I flipped it.  It's just for the mix, not for anything else, release or otherwise.  It's going to lead in from another track and mix out into something else.

To commemorate 30 years of a mix-tape series I called "Factory", the next generation 2,0 begins on 1-1-22.  January 1, 2022.  The Sound Of Brooklyn Techno began in early 1992.  It was Hardcore Techno by design.  It was the sound of Stormrave, and like this damn varient of covid, it mutated, got harder and harder and somehow 30 years later, it still exists in it's original form. It's Industrial Strength, Drop Bass, Plus 8 and Planet Core Productions.  It's Adam X, It's Sonic Groove, Lenny D, early Beltram/Program 2 - but it's Brooklyn Techno.  The heart of the matter.  And it sounds something like this,

So Perry K and I went to see the new Spider-Man movie "No Way Home"  and I have some Spider-Man history since the first record I ever owned was "Beyond The Grave" by Spider-Man when I was 6 years old.  Not to give away the plot, Dr. Strange has to reverse the spell and in turn Spider-Man's girlfriend forget's who he is.  And I'm like "Doc Strange in the Range like Whoa".   Happy Holiday's, this happened in two parts right after the movie,  You get both parts here,

Electro Breaks with a Techno feel.  All about this style right now.  Nothing groundbreaking, just a solid groove.

SLOT MACHINE - BONESBREAKS

THE BELLS / PURPOSE MAKER / JEFF MILLS / AXIS - Jeff Mills flagship track from Kat Moda was one of the finest techno releases of the 1990's.  It's pretty much Holy Grail.  So first things first, I've been spending most of my free time making music.  Sometimes I get lucky.  In fact if this version didn't excell while I was creating it, I would have simply walked away and left it alone.  But it began to sound really good & punchy.  I started feeling like Jeff would really enjoy it.  

I mean "Let No Man Put Asunder" is one of the most sampled vocals of all time.  But the placement of the words in this one, I heard it in an old 2011 track by Butch, and knew it would accent The Bells well.  It's really subjective but I will leave it up to you.   Enjoy.

JEFF MILLS - THE BELLS - THE 2021 FRANKIE BONES REDUX

"Call It Techno" was the blueprint track which was written on June 4, 1989.  It was at the forefront of European Rave Culture and became a well known track in the U.K. & Germany.  The documentary "We Call It Techno" explains it right from the beginning and from that came the second & third Love Parade themes being named "The Future Is Ours" off the XL/Citibeat LP by Musto & Bones.  And "My House Is Your House" from the Break Boys which was Frankie Bones aka on Fourth Floor Records in 1990.

Frankie became the American Pioneer of Rave Culture on both coasts in 1990, playing Techno as a movement.  The Peace, Love, Unity Movement which in 1993 became PLUR after a fight broke out at an event in The Bronx which had Richie Hawtin as it's headliner.

And the rest is history.  If words can paint the picture here, the first 5 Soundcloud links will describe a DJ who has a journey of a lifetime & still is active in 2024.  The music that comes from the heart & soul of the Brooklyn Underground.
