The power couple are some of the most important figures of the Lebanese and Middle-Eastern underground scene since they founded Factory People, a community of artists and music enthusiasts whose mission is to spread music & happiness through events and arts projects. Their flagship club The Grand Factory was destroyed during the Beirut blast last August and they aim to bring it back as soon as possible. Activist and Factory People family member Samer Makarem gives us an insight into what a night there sounds and feels like, and why those kind of spaces matter to the city and the country’s artistic community in these challenging times.

Cercle is one of the most respected live-streaming platforms in dance music, broadcasting performances in breathtaking locations to tens of millions of viewers across the globe. From hot air balloons to mountain tops, waterfalls, world-heritage sites, and under the Northern Lights in the arctic circle. 

Part videographers and music curators, part adrenaline junkies, @cerclelive blend sound with mind-blowing images and aesthetic, creating audio-visual experiences in which viewers are immersed from start to finish. 

I follow founder Derek Barbolla and his team of creatives for nine months, as they plan and broadcast a show under a waterfall in a remote part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. What makes it a perfect location? How is the artist selected? And with multiple cameras, drones, and a live audience of one thousand, how difficult is it to capture? From the importance of colour to the best time of day to film, we uncover the technical and logistical challenges of pulling off a production of this magnitude...

London is pretty cold at the moment so I’ve been locked indoors digging into old Disco House classics from the 90s and early 2000s. We’re inserting a bit of sunshine vibes into your ears with new music from California and Nigeria, and an exotic guestmix by Pouvoir Magique from the Mawimbi crew.

Fred Olafsson, the man behind the Icelandic festival Secret Solstice is picking winter warmers from local talent, and giving us a few hints (maybe) on what to expect at next year’s edition.

We’re also feeling the Frenchness with tunes from Kool Vibe, Guilhem Monin, The Mekanism and Yuksek’s Partyfine label.

Welcoming Californian producer Luxxury (@luxxury) for a live disco guestmix full of his own edits and remixes. The LA based producer has been making noise around the US and Europe with his fruity grooves and seamless abilities to convert studio productions to live band performances.

We're also looking back at the Trans Musicales festival which took place in my French hometown of Rennes recently. Expect a lowdown on what's going on in the life of Partyfine records' boss Yuksek (Paris, France), Mushxxx (Seoul, Korea) and Khidja (Bucharest, Romania).
