Metacognition: Purgatory is a dual-movement exploration of the mind caught in its own liminal space — suspended between memory and possibility, strength and vulnerability, resistance and release. This two-track album reflects the internal dialogues that shape us, the ones we rarely voice but always feel.

Purgatory (Fortis, Severus)

A haunting meditation on what once was and what might have been. Inspired by the quiet ache of lost connections — a friend, a moment, a fragment of potential — this piece gives form to the universal struggle of navigating grief with dignity.
Here, Purgatory is not a place but a state of being: transient, enigmatic, profoundly human. Fortis embodies the hidden strength required to endure life’s emotional turbulence, while Severus reflects the seriousness and introspection needed to confront one’s deepest truths.

Purgatory (Misericors)

A counterbalance to the first movement, Misericors softens the emotional gravity with compassion and tenderness. It is the breath between storms — a reprieve where tension dissolves into understanding. Mercy becomes melody, and gentleness drifts over a deep atmospheric backdrop, offering healing where distance once prevailed.

A Pulse in Time

Across both tracks, the album moves with a steady internal rhythm — the quiet metronome of thought. This is metacognition set to sound: a descent into the mind’s hidden corridors, illuminated only by the pulse of time itself.
