!Organism looks to label regular Andres Gil & new collaborative partner MdS for its next main room techno release and enlists Spiros Kaloumenos to remix. 

Colombia’s Andres Gil is the founder of Refluxed Records and has released plenty of serious techno sounds on labels like Great Stuff, Yellow Recordings and Dropkick Records. He is a regular on this label and frequently works in collaboration with others, as is the case again here. 

MdS is the chosen one this time and is the Italian producer who often climbs high up the Beatport charts and has released on labels like Alchemy, Agile Encodings and 069 Techno. 

‘Slump’ is a cantering techno roller with grainy, buffed metal synth smears, sweeps of tension building white noise and grinding bassline driving the whole thing along. The claps are raw and various other little effects fill in the spaces, ensuring your mind is as occupied as your feet when lost in this one. 

Greek producer, Focus Records label owner and associate of labels like Kombination Research, Codeworks and Phobiq, Spiros Kaloumenos remixes the track into a searing, even quicker proposition with paranoid synth lines scurrying on top of bulky drums. It’s a heady and hypnotic affair that will melt minds in a big warehouse space. 

‘Playback’ gets a little more funky and playful, with its bouncing kick drums, stabs of turbo charged bass and spangled synth sound all jostling with each other for your attention. 

This EP marks three tracks of no nonsense hugely functional techno once again from !Organism.

With Adam’s stature steadily growing as one of the leading talents in the Techno scene and the rise of Drumcode, the standard of demo’s that have been sent to Adam have been top notch. Adam has now decided to release two compilations with 10 tracks each, consisting of tracks that Adam has tried and tested. There are also new artists that have been invited to release on Drumcode for this compilation and others who are a staple in Drumcode’s core family. Combining both old and new talents Drumcode have come up with something unique and distinctive to make this two-part compilation something extra special.

We always had a weak spot for upcoming talent. It’s one of the most interesting phases in an artist’ career. A bright future in the making is exciting to see develop before your very eyes It’s a period where everything is still possible, open and giant steps are easily made.

Doka is such a talent. Hailing from beautiful Heerlen and now residing in Amsterdam, his demo’s caused quite the stir in Wolfskuil HQ. Doka’s uncomprimising, relentless techno productions have been extensively roadtested, leaving dancefloors in shatters. So it’s due time for his first vinyl release. The main track Exigent is the most subtle one of the package. But don’t be fooled be it’s deceiving friendliness. This is peaktime techno at it’s best: big breakdowns and climaxes, timed perfectly for maximum effect. 

And the flipside it gets bigger, fatter and nastier. Ximul reminds of old 90’s Speedy J releases on Nova Mute (remember the Collabs series?) with it’s gruesome, acidic bassline and clever industrial sounddesign. Kahn is made of the same cloth, but takes it more on the hypnotic tip. And this is just the beginning of a promising career, one to watch.

FRANKYEFFE - BIOGRAPHY 
Traversing the winding passages of his own cavernous capabilities, prolific Italian DJ, producer and label owner Frankyeffe – real name Francesco Fava – is well on his way to reaching the peak of his towering potential. Since his career’s 2001 inception, he’s wandered some of the darkest corners of melodic techno, injecting innovation and amplitude and gradually cementing himself as a true master within his own class.
Initially rising to prominence behind the decks of Rome’s renowned Rashomon Club, for three consecutive seasons, the venue’s intimate interior provided a vast canvas for Frankyeffe to draw upon. Soon sparking the interests of a wider audience, he’s since reached international recognition playing at various Mutate events in Naples, the Audio Club in Geneva, Germany’s Audiogate festival in 2017 and a monster slot on the Pryda stage at 2018’s instalment of Tomorrowland in Belgium. Stretching his reach further to high profile gigs in the UK, Holland, Portugal, Spain, Columbia and China his music is fast becoming a global force to be reckoned with.  
Helping to inspire other artist’s talent and creativity, Frankyeffe’s fierce DIY ethos is embodied by his own Riot Recordings label where he’s simultaneously put out a number of his own releases including his name making 2015 debut album, Trenta along with a handful of other flourishing and deserved artists – Teenage Mutants, Maksim Dark, Heerhorst and Spartaque to name a few. He’s worked alongside the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano – winner of ‘Best Producer’ at the 2019 DJ Awards – as well as been featured on established imprints that span Noir, Kraftek, We Are The Brave, Senso Sounds and Terminal M. 
With an exciting schedule already underway, Frankyeffe has a busy year ahead with a string of tour dates and releases on Senso Sounds and his own Riot Recordings ready to drop in early 2020. Well set on the highroad to stardom, 2020 will be a crucial year for this buzzing techno talent.
