A nauseating winter melancholy and dense thoughts dissolved into the April dance, which might seem like a random collection of sounds at first glance — yet within them lie numerous intersections of meaning and empathy for the present moment.

This playlist navigates my movement rhythms through Berlin, into smoke-filled bars and venues bursting with ambition and false desires.

Die Anstalt, Saeko Killy, Beak>… became the soundtrack to spring’s awakening hope.
Fresh releases on the German label Bureau B kept reappearing along the path that brought us together. Notably, the promising heavy basslines of the French trio Eat Girls and their debut full-length album Area Silenzio pierce the void, dissonant with delicate, yet confident vocals.

In this context, it’s worth mentioning Saeko Killy—elegant Japanese synth-pop with otherworldly intonations that drift like light from distant stars.

A special companion to my daily listens, and perhaps now yours too — Brokenchord and his debut album Stone Island Tracks. This Lithuanian artist thickens the air, and I find myself in the shadow beneath a vibrating dome of low frequencies. They’re sticky, like wet asphalt at night, and the voice, as if from underwater, guides us through twilight quarters — panel walls breathing in delay.

This sonic palette takes on the intergalactic contours of my cosmic homeland, the one I call home. In my mind, I see the Wild Fields of Zaporizhzhia embraced by industry, where the fresh air is laced with a metallic tang.

I’m tired of imagining — I want to be there!

That’s why on May 30, I’m organizing a concert for Brokenchord and seizing this opportunity to invite you to 90mil in Berlin.

"Our nostalgia obsession has trapped us in loops of aesthetic déjà vu and algorithmic déjà entendu. But what if this yearning is less about the past and more about our inability to move forward? In Ghosts of My Life, cultural theorist Mark Fisher called this phenomenon “the slow cancellation of the future.” He argued that contemporary culture had lost its capacity to imagine radical newness. Instead of moving forward we’ve entered a loop of retro-styled repetition, where the aesthetics of past decades return stripped of context or meaning. Culture, he wrote, had become a "ghost world" haunted by lost futures; futures that once felt possible but now feel unreachable. What choice do we have, then, but to look back and scavenge meaning from the cultural leftovers we’ve already consumed?"

No one is bored and everything is boring

From Here, There and Everywhere - Nowadaze - a concept album that makes analog synth sound fresh, about the daze we experience everyday nowadays with all the manic info flow, algorithmic madness, social media induced megalomania and weakling nostalgia for better times, that in fact never where… And how to graciously survive it all.

The manifesto:

I feel so very old. As if the day has decided to advance light miles without warning us. All the ideas, thoughts, and habits with which I grew up suddenly have no meaning, no purpose – they are no longer part of the new world, they seem like relics and souvenirs from other planets we visited, though neither of rock nor of gas, and the only distance that separates us from them is time.

I am imprisoned between the material, which I never viewed as futuristic, -- which has suddenly become a heavy monument to the present -, and the abstract, cybernetic, and alien to everything I have considered human until now.

Glass, concrete, artificial lights, and lithium thoughts. Every day, people live more and more in an automation that a few years ago would have seemed an unattainable fantasy in the near future. And yet, here we are. Of our own free will. Nobody forced us; we did everything we could to get here.

Even so, I don't take credit for the petty work of the collective unconscious. The unconscious that prioritizes building a machine over planting a tree, exchanging futile phrases that feed each other's ego before words of empathy and consolation, and seeking how to survive until tomorrow instead of generating life for several centuries to come. A society that gulps without chewing. A society that will not hesitate to gulp me, because I don't have sharp enough teeth, and I am not used to shredding the plastics and metals that already are in my food.

Recorded and mixed by Gris Futuro in Mexico 2023-2025 with Eurorack modular system, samplers, Roland CR-78, Boss DR-55, Korg KR-55, polysynth, analog delay, sequencers.
