Back on his HIFI/LOFI home base, Franz Matthews continues his habit of turning up in unexpected sonic spaces. Night Tales finds him delving into a more introspective, deep, and melancholic palette, while preserving the organic warmth and groove-driven energy that define his ever-evolving sound.

 The EP’s opening tale, Again, takes us on a melancholic night ride through the ever-repeating ups and downs of life, where darkness and light follow one another in an endless cycle - soundtracked by an orchestra of lush synths, soft rhodes melodies, dreamy guitars, and Franz’s delicately crafted vocals.

Howling at the Moon dives deeper into the night, driven by hypnotic percussion, dark synth stabs, and haunting vocals that summon a sense of collective trance. The track builds toward a wordless vocal chant that feels both human and otherworldly, unfolding into a swaying, almost tango-esque groove where rhythms subtly intertwine.  Closing the EP, You & I stands apart — restored from a nine-year-old lost writing session, this nostalgic yet hopeful electronic pop track felt right at home within the EP, where its warm house textures and Lights Out’s delicate, heartfelt vocals wrap up these Night Tales with a timeless sense of longing and connection.

Momoda Debuts on Get Physical with a Soulful Melodic House Gem.

Get Physical Music welcomes Momoda for his first release on the label with a standout track that blends classic house emotion with modern melodic production.

Built around a steady, hypnotic beat and bright synth chord stabs, the track gradually unfolds as a soulful female vocal rises to the surface. Born in Nigeria and now based in Barcelona, Momoda has been shaping his distinctive sound since 2012. His music fuses elements of house, afro, and techno, reflecting the global influences that have defined his journey. As one of the early figures behind Nigeria’s emerging electronic scene, he built a movement that introduced international DJs to Lagos and helped cultivate a new audience for house music in West Africa.

Now a key name in Barcelona’s club scene, Momoda continues to build connections between cultures and crowds with every set. His DJ philosophy is simple: play for the moment, play for the people, and always bring something fresh.

With his debut on Get Physical, Momoda channels the timeless feeling of soulful house into a modern framework that speaks to dancefloors worldwide.

Hinting at something emotionally gripping from the onset, the original version of Show Me unfurls over a tight frame as a synthetic bed surges to the front before Fahlberg deploys a thundering bassline. Slowly, we start to sway, making our way to a break in the cloud while Brennings ever-alluring vocals glide over the piece in a spectral presence, immersing us deeper into the narrative, as crisp arpeggios make their way through brass swells and backing chords.
