TRAUMACHINE represents an interdisciplinary and dynamic space of emergent performative revolutionary freedom amidst the reality of a waking American Nightmare. The concept of the American Dream is inexorably connected to the alienating, psychologically colonialist enterprise of the culture industry as made manifest by the status quo. By reinterpreting the mythological narratives of contemporary American popular culture PoplurX, Clayton Westmeier, Ethan Cummins, and Jonny Negron will engage in an immersive genre-bending performance at the crossroads of music as an evolution of the interpretation of intonation for means of survival, and the body (heartbeat) as the first instrument of sonic measurement (metronome). By utilizing aspects of dance, ritualistic improvisation, and free association, TRAUMACHINE, will open a suspended space of self-critical dialogue with the power structures of culture.The age of physical revolution has past us by; the only revolution left possible is a revolution of the mind.

Ghettophiles is not just a record label, it’s an artist collective.  Some of us don’t know how to produce tracks, some of us don’t know how to dj, some of us don’t know how to type, and some of us don’t know how to do anything besides blog.  We’re all about local scenes, and making sure that whether or not they get international attention, the leaders, innovators, creators, and legends of each community are able to have sustained love and support from their own community.  Right now, we’ve got a lot of Juke, Footwork, and a lil bit of Jersey Club.  We’re going to have more, but also some ghetto tech,  dub, moombahton, and of course since we’re from chicago, house music.

I'm a 24 and native to Austin, TX. I play bass, piano/keyboard, guitar, and do vocals.  I started this soundcloud my freshman year of high school and just started uploading things again after a year or two of not updating it. I use Ableton 9 to record from my home studio. I'm also in the band Most Modern playing bass and doing vocals. David Bowie, The Beatles, Kate Bush, Black Sabbath, Ween, Mr.Bungle, The Cure, Modest Mouse, Joni Mitchell, and Elliot Smith, PJ Harvey, and Queen are some of my biggest influences.
