Since 2019, the "From disco to disko" label based in Bastia, Corsica, has been offering its own vision of "dance music" without borders of styles or formats. This new release « EV004 », a UFO for the dance floor halfway between an edit and a remix, marks the arrival on the label of the duo Acid Child, based in Manchester in a very free adaptation of this track from 1981 by the group Foreigner.

Maori brings his unique style to Powder Music with an impressive EP.   Recently crowned the new king of indie dance on Beatport, Maori is riding a wave of positivity with a string of big releases and an ever busier gig diary.

Rising from the ashes of covid, his first forays into dance music garnered instant support and lead to signing music to Renaissance, Realm and Higher Ground. Now, with the wind in his sails and a clearly defined sound, Maori is bringing his melodic indie dance vibe to a club near you.   

Opening with ‘One Way’ rumbling bass and choppy ad libs juxtapose the crisp beats and spoken word mantra. Hypnotising and deep, the ebb and flow of electronic motifs plays perfectly for the modern floor. Next up, ‘Jaime’ follows a tribal path before mutating into a deep trance bruiser with clever drum work and a killer vocal hook. Finally, ‘Stranger Candy’ showcases Moari’s fun side with a funky bongo groover that grows into a shop-stopping festival monster.
