When Noisia asked me to remix a track of theirs, I decided to go for the first track that came into my mind. The first time I heard the original of 'Running Blind', my jaw dropped. It sounded like a track from the future, but with that raw 90's Drum&Bass feel. A stunning combo and exactly what I love. I tried to give it a minimal Fre4knc twist, but it came out a bit more heavy than I had in mind at the start of this project. Nothing wrong with that of course and especially interesting for myself. I did my best to make it a special one, as that's what Noisia remixes deserve to be. 
I would like to thank Noisia and crew for all the support. Without that support I would have seen way less from the world and my life would have been way more boring. Noisia might stop, but their music will live forever. <4

After hearing 'Tubular' turn the Samurai room at Cable in October 2012 inside out at the hands of Skeptical, Samurai Music's Presha contacted Fre4knc the very next day and signed the tune for a 12" release on the label. To complete the 12" some solid hours of collaboration and mix-down perfecting were put into 'Relic' which sees Fre4knc working with rising stars Mtwn and seasoned veteran Mindmapper. 'Theropod' is a digital exclusive that has also been a floor favourite for everyone in possession of the tune. A true DJ at heart, Dutch DJ/producer Fre4knc (pronounced "frequency") is seeing a rapid surge in popularity in 2013 after many years of solid devotion to promoting, DJing and producing DnB. His production name has become synonymous with raw, deep and techy drum & bass for the dancefloor. He has also built a reputation for quality DJing at his own Break-Fast events in Groningen (NL), his radioshow on jungletrain.net from 2002 till 2012, and as the label boss of Break-Fast Audio and his residency for the mighty SOLK nights. DJ, producer, sound designer, dedicated perfectionist: Bertran van den Hoff has been honing his tense, moody signature since he first fell in love with the dark designs of late 90s tech-driven underground drum & bass. Committed to the dark art of studio-craft for over a decade, and even longer learning the psychology of the dancefloor and the language of mix alchemy as a DJ; he has played across the world from Fabric London to the Great Wall of China via multiple Noisia Invites appearances. He’s also released music on a wide range of respected, agenda-setting imprints such as Flexout, Noisia's Invisible, Dispatch, Critical Music, and Playaz.

Years of deep fine-tuning. Understanding the science of sonics. Really knowing the sound, textures and grooves he wants to bring into the world… All these things and more have led to a consistency and high benchmark in everything he does. This could be one of his ever-growing body of collaborations with Amoss; his recent explorations into techno with The Futurist; any of the high levels of intoxicating, spacious hip-hop influenced halftime in his work; it could even be his dapper moustache… Nothing leaves the Fre4knc laboratory until he knows he’s done himself, the groove and the movement justice.
