This is John Lennon's song Imagine remixed by Freak Sauce (Bobby Bray); using plugins in Pro Tools, including Soundhack Delay + Pitch Shift.
i am very fascinated by Dr. Ramachandran's ideas on art regarding the Peak Shift Principle. if one can capture the 'rasa' (essence) of an object or idea, one might be able to embellish upon it in hopes of eliciting a stronger neurochemical reaction. perhaps one, of many psychoacoustic elements at work regarding Imagine is pitch (low/melancholy). if so, a lower pitch might exaggerate some of the feel.

Imagine (freaksauce RMX)

I DJ under the name Freak Sauce on rare occasions in San Diego. I mostly play experimental and/or mathy, post-everything weird music, plus layering and effects. 
This account also has some other projects I have worked on.
Freak Sauce is an honorable reference to a saying by the mighty and influential band Man Is The Bastard: "heavy on the freak sauce jack."
