Fanu returns to the dark, mystical vibes he has always mastered. In every genre, there are tracks that come and go as well as those that will make an impact on the genre for years to come, paving a new path for new stylistical innovations. 'Paracosm' falls into the latter category with its massive explosive soundwall of percussion certainly never heard before in the 170 bpm realm. Regardless of the genre or tempo, Fanu's works have always been exploring the drums and a certain otherworldly atmosphere, and Lightless006 doesn't make an exception, either, as the flipside, catering for the slowfast heads, with its carefully-crafted percussion at 80 bpm and Asian atmospheres also proves. Few artists carry in their works a vibe similar to early Photek, but it can clearly be heard in Fanu tracks once again. 
As Do Androids Dance put it: 
"Fanu has done everything from drum & bass to broken beat, but he steps back up for his Lightless imprint to dive head-first into the hypnotic, deep sound of dnb, which is more about intense vibes that insane breakbeats. Fanu can do both, but sometimes you need to just throw on a hoodie and nod your head ’til your neck complains."

This is my tribute to the one and only Pumpkin. He inspired me, one late summer afternoon, when I stumbled upon his live set at LIB in 2012. From then on, I made sure to catch every live show of his that I possibly could & every damn time the energy I felt on the dance floor was better than any other dance floor. It was always packed with many, many smiling faces full of new & old friends, brought together. History in the making - I knew right then and there that this is what it was all about. After hearing of his tragic passing in 2016, I felt a strong calling to carry on the duty of spreading love on the dance floor. It was at that point, when I started taking DJing more seriously on a more public scale. So this is for you, the fans, the ones who never got to know who he was, and Nick the Neck, up there in the sky, dancing in paradise. 🌰

Fall is here. Now & again - new, yet familiar. Arguably my favorite season, though I enjoy them all and the change they bring. 

Before I learned how to mix music, I was an extreme playlist curating enthusiast. Every playlist I have tells the story of the season I was in at that time. It's been a while, but I recently felt a calling to revisit them. For this mix, I pulled my most favorites that really slow me down, turn me inward for reflection and massage my soul. I love the challenge of putting tracks together that you might not think "match". Hearing the outcome has become a ritual for me that I look forward to - a way to exercise my brain and stimulate my senses. 

I hope you find some resonance and comfort here. Light a candle, move your body, sit in stillness... or, perhaps take a wander through the mossy, fallen leaves in search of fungi. This is the time of year my family and I journey through the Koots and visit our favourite forest spots to forage nature's treats before the frost takes over. Then - hibernation mode sets in.

Essential Mix 2025

Alright. I'd be lying if I said mixing this kind of music wasn't challenging, but the feeling when 2 "unmatched" tracks end up making magic together, or flow lyrically, is the reason I love mixing music. Making this mix brought out vulnerability and curiosity. 

This has been subcontiously curated for me and my journey that tells the story of what has brought me to now. I am so lucky to have experienced so much life, but it also brought a lot of pain. Music was my muse, my comfort and my language when I could not find the words. I spent a lot of time on top of a mountain range with my hoola hoop. Moving my body to keep me from going stagnant, while I tried to figure everything out. And now here I am - I found my paradise. I am enough <3

Floating In the Deep End

Here's an uplifting, experimental jam to set your summer vibes into motion. I think May and June are my most favorite months of the year. I used to spend them waiting for summer to be here, instead of enjoying the beauty that already exists - the best parts without all of the extremes. Time goes by so quickly.. let's remember to gaze into blue skies and stop and smell the flowers, yeah? 

Longer Days ♡ Brighter Nights

It's that time of year again.. you know the drill. We have the urge to shift gears and our natural response to the change of the season is to slow. things. down. 

However - the hustle of the world and the society that we are supposed to associate with would like everything to happen all at once, and even add some more.

So, we are left in this place of being pulled in both directions, and it can really mess with our mental health. You would think by now we'd have it all figured out and have mastered the art of busy and slow simultaneously.. but nah, we don't. 

The only thing that can help me slow down in this spead up world? 

MUSEic. 

This is a letter that I write to you & I for when we are in those moments that feel like they are spiraling out of control. When we feel like everything is working against us. Let this be the fluid that helps us go with flow and remind us that everything is going to be alright. 

Because I needed this, and maybe you do too. <3

So stoked to finally share my set from Motion Notion 2015 with you all! This was a pretty special set for me as it was my first time playing in Canada, and I had an absolutely wicked time.

This mix is probably my best to date and features over 20 of my own tracks and a tonne of exclusives that I've been playing out all summer long. It has been pretty challenging, but these tracks bring me right back to the beginning of learning the mass amount of power music holds within us. Movement. Emotion. Compassion.. Music never ceases to allow us to let go and give in to the waves of sound. So, I felt the need to put this out there, once and for all. My biggest studio showcase mix project to the date. Definitely worth it! SpectraSoul guys have been my fav producers since their first releases. Their production skills, diversity, originality and consistency is just amazing. It was great experience to look back and re-discover some of the hidden treasures.

From the first bits from 2006 till the latest remixes from 2018. Full spectrum from soulful drum&bass through minimal and halftempo compositions to real deep bangers. Love it all.
