Going camping this weekend? Wish you had an extended DJ mix of campfire suitable music that everyone from the grandparents to the kids can enjoy? Look no further. Parental Guidance is Civillian's first foyer into the world of mixing live bands who are playing real instruments, a terrifying thought for many DJ's. With the common thread of real, live music - you can still expect Civillian's signature variety with selections ranging from Aretha Franklin covering the everyone's favourite The Band song "The Weight", to Waylon Jenning's penultimate driving tune "Ramblin' Fever".

Heavily inspired by pioneering efforts in that realm like Smalltown DJ's "Camping Mix", and DJ Ali B "Plays the Blues", this recording was going to be no usual undertaking for Civillian. After 2+ years of focused digging, nearly a year of practicing technique, and a 2 week artist residency in a van down by the river for the final recording stage, it is ready for the open air and the open road.

"10 years of Bliss Coast and the journey goes on. Each year has been a monumental effort and my long-term goal to achieve 10 volumes comes to completion with the release of Muse & Marvel. Over the years many fans have told me how much they still love volume 1, Grass & Gospel. So to round out the series I decided to revisit the year one theme and produce another set of bluegrass and gospel songs refreshed for the festival dancefloor and maximum smiles. This is my tribute to the one and only Pumpkin. He inspired me, one late summer afternoon, when I stumbled upon his live set at LIB in 2012. From then on, I made sure to catch every live show of his that I possibly could & every damn time the energy I felt on the dance floor was better than any other dance floor. It was always packed with many, many smiling faces full of new & old friends, brought together. History in the making - I knew right then and there that this is what it was all about. After hearing of his tragic passing in 2016, I felt a strong calling to carry on the duty of spreading love on the dance floor. It was at that point, when I started taking DJing more seriously on a more public scale. So this is for you, the fans, the ones who never got to know who he was, and Nick the Neck, up there in the sky, dancing in paradise. 🌰

I had the honor of opening the second stage at Glitter & Glow Festival this NYE in Red Deer, AB and was asked to play an intimate, vibey, deep, dark melodic set. The venue was transformed into a 2 stage festival with all kinds of activities and eye candy, with some stellar vibes. I hope I get the chance to do that again 💜 cheers to 2025.

[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] unleashes the final arc of its 79th release: Francesco Tamburrano – The Gambler. Postscript II

Venice, a city of reflections, where water and time weave fragile lines of fate. It is here that Francesco Tamburrano (@ft-dubtechno) conceived his new album The Gambler – a sonic journey inspired by Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel The Gambler. If the original album was a statement on passion and obsession, the remixes – crafted exclusively by Russian dub techno masters – open the story into new dimensions. We envisioned two postscripts, and now it is time for the second one.

The Gambler. Postscript II is eight new interpretations, eight rolls of the dice with sound itself at stake. The album opens with Sleney (@sleney1996) and his take on “Mlle Blanche”, turning it into a meditative flow of depth and light. Radio Badjay (@radiobadjay) reshapes “Madame de Cominges”, saturating it with hidden drama where the vibration of the bass becomes the pulse of the narrative. Triebfeder (@triebfedersp) brings strict rhythmic geometry to “General”, transforming it into a march of fate reimagined in dub techno pulse. Castle From Indistinct Dreams (@shadow-recruit) reinvents “Mr Astley”, weaving it with hazy visions and blurred contours of memory, turning it into a dreamlike mirage.

In the second half of the album, the tension rises. Dive Craft (@dennykay) adds gravity and weight to his version of “Potapych”, unveiling its sonic density and depth. ODP (@enercube & @x_fr) explores the experimental frontier in “Alexei Ivanovich”, carrying the listener into an acid-futurist perspective where past and future twist into a single spiral of sound. Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer (@enercube & @x_fr) takes us into emotional nostalgia through “Marquis de Grieux”, where memory and passion breathe with the deepest sub-bass and resonate with longing. The final act belongs to Nebula Alchemists (@enercube & @x_fr) with their “Potapych (Outro Dub)” – a step beyond structure, dissolving the album into an endless sonic nebula, leaving the sensation of the last step into eternity.
