Casino Times demonstrate their cunning yet natural and flowing sound with two originals on Mireia Records. “Rush” and “Kawai” are a proper trip of thier own, psychedelic pinball machines that’ll catapult you to the further edges of the known sphere. Amalgamating influences from religious Brasilian folk music, balearic, cosmic / downtempo and heavy percussive styles, Elevator Edit #7 encapsulates the ethos of London's Elevator East clubnight in just under seven minutes of no-holds-barred, heads-down eclectic chug. The project began in February 2018, having recently celebrated its second birthday, and has gained a reputation for inviting a heady mix of young new talent and underground legends to unique spaces in East London, as well as taking the Elevator crew to gigs across France, Italy and the Netherlands.

Title track Altered Beats is one of the most unique things we've ever heard, pumping, broken beat, acid rave style vibes leads into a monster chug drop with insane synth work throughout.

Future Express retains the uniqueness and goes straight in for the italo/cosmic vibe with a stunning breakdown that is straight out of Streets Of Rage but with added whallop & thud...this has got to be heard to be believed.

if you're gonna start the new year with a bang then what better way to do it than with an incredible selection of balearic tinged exotica from a long standing (and personal) friend of us, Mr Dan Wainwright and his 'Hope & Deliverance' E.P.

Lead off track 'I Love You' is all kinds of hazy wooziness & spaced out synths & pads with a slack as heck broken beat that all mixes & swirls in the right places along this cosmic journey.

Nothing Ever Stays The Same keeps on the cosmic path and goes with a dubbed out bass thump for added measure with some full on hypnotic vocal action that sews the package up and feels a bit like Moby when he was really good and not such a bell end.

Feel ups the tempo slightly but keeps things trip and demanding some sun beams at overseas festivals. This is some serious daytime dancing style tackle that will uplift & bliss in equal measures.

Closing track 'I Hope That Joy Will Come To You' is a definite message for everyone to mantra after the rubbish's of 2020. Delay drenched synth chords & kaleidoscope pads wrap around a hooky ukulele (as played live by Dan!) and a psych'd out vocal from the man himself. No beats on this at all, they're not needed. This is pure class in a glass!

Fred Berthet is this mysterious Frenchman known as DJ STEEF who produced slow & funky downtempo house tracks in the past years. Based in Marseille this quiet but not shy producer has built his way on many different projects since the early 90’s where it all started.
After composing singles with Antoine Boullé under the pseudonym Venus Attack Project (on the label US Guidance), he created the band known as Troublemakers with his friend Lionel Corsini & Arnaud Taillefert. After an over-welcomed first LP ("Doubts & Convictions" on Guidance rec) and well received worldwide, Concecration came on the second one on Blue Note (“Express Way”) pushing The Troublemakers at one of the top electronic band in the French scene.
Fred later on focused his attention on Copyshop project, influenced by the 80’s (Gomma, Toy Tonics, La Dame Noir, Numoment...). Producing now under DJ Steef its was the occasion to synthesize his musical roots such as 80’s electro pop, poisonous disco, classy french influences, insistent downtempo and up warding house. Fred has found in his alter ego DJ Steef the perfect combinasion of incredible fat, slow, funky downtempo house tracks that every body is so crazy about.Its not about fashion but clearly about style & thats why we all love his production stamped BIOMIX, in the shadows, under cover & simply outstanding.
