Composed of band members Nasri Atweh (lead vocals), Mark Pelli (guitar), Alex Tanas (drums) and Ben Spivak (bass), MAGIC! is a reggae-pop quartet from Toronto, Canada who is winning without hesitation the hearts of listeners. The band itself is not new to the music business for it is made up of members who are well emerged in the music world. The bands lead, Nasri Atweh, is a Grammy award winning songwriter and producer. Quickie from us: "So we are MAJOR fans of TOVE LO's, in fact we are certain she is going to be a massive name in music VERY soon. So, Habit's her song has been a major hit of the last year and has seen some interesting edits, but nothing in the dance genre. Habits is one of those unique blend of feelings, its gangster, sexy, relatable, and fun... In fact we aren't quite sure why its not on the same level as Lorde's Royals... So with that in mind, we set out to create a song that complimented the vocals and the subject of the song but brought it into the club arena. The thing with our production lately is we are looking to close the gap between this big kick room house with the huge spacey middle and really melodic full progressive sound and combine it with our love for Indie emotion... its definitely challenging but we feel we are getting closer and closer”

05 - Lali Puna - Faking the Books

This is my DJ mix from the Daphni 'JIAOLONG' album release party at the Bussey Building in Peckham, London, UK.

It was recorded live and performed with 3 Pioneer CDJ 2000s playing digital files, an E&S DJR400 mixer and a Boss RE-20 Space Echo pedal.

All 7.5 hours are here - warts and all. Apologies for the occasionally crunchy sound quality and periodic lapses in mixing. It's only split into two parts because it was too long to upload as one file.

It was a fantastic night - thank you to all of you who were there and to Huntleys & Palmers for putting the night on. But as many of you were unable to attend for geographic and other reasons, I wanted to share it with you this way.
