Nelson Vassalo, ou como é conhecido DJ VASSALO, entrou no mundo da música aos 14 anos, passava música nas festas populares utilizando um vulgar gira-discos. Aos 16 anos começa a fazer matinés no bar-pub Garret. Aos 18 anos entra na discoteca Horta da Fonte no Cartaxo como lightjockey. Após um ano a "conviver" na noite, inicia-se como DJ, "conduzindo" as matinés da discoteca, e 2 anos mais tarde torna-se DJ residente, actividade que exerce durante mais 10 anos. Aos 30 anos, deixa a Horta da Fonte, mantendo-se como freelancer. Em 2007 entra como DJ convidado no Projecto "Comercial in the Mix" um progama da Rádio Comercial apresentado pelo DJ José Araújo. Foi eleito o 2º DJ Revelaçao do "Comercial in the Mix", de 2009, onde passou a ser residente da Rádio Comercial uma vez por mês. Em 2010 2º Lugar Corona/ MTV em Portugal. Já participou em grandes eventos, tocando ao lado de grandes DJs nacionais e alguns internacionais. DJ VASSALO é conhecido pelo seu estilo de música alegre, animando toda gente por onde passa.......

He also had the pleasure to tour Indonesia with memorable nights at Entrance in Medan, Muse in Samarinda and the after hours Deejay Club in Kuta, Bali, amongst others. Marcus’ formula is a driving, rhythmic yet dignified house style, in other words, a mix between Jerome Isma-Ae and Filterheadz.
