'In the mix I recorded for MWTG – a project known for its eclecticism – I wanted to explore at least a few areas of electronic music. To tell the truth, I would have loved to record something much longer and even more diverse, but I decided to focus on those (sub)genres that are probably the most consistent with the FUTURA series. At the same time, I gave myself a bit more freedom in terms of tempo and stylistic choice than in the club or in other projects I happen to be involved in, where the stylistic framework is sometimes more rigid. To put it in a nutshell: a little bit of this, a little bit of that, with some extras in between. Enjoy the sonic ride!'.

As is the case with the vast majority of DJs and producers, asx wrote his bio himself from a third-person perspective. DJ, turntablist, record collector. Behind the computer - a man of letters (and keys), behind the decks - a man of action. His repertoire is dominated by drum & bass in its various forms, but his mixes also feature dubstep, breakbeat with scratching, ambient, abstract electronica, jazz, and modern classical. Co-administrator of break.fm (ex-dnb.pl, formerly drumandbass.pl), the largest Polish drum & bass-themed message board. Co-administrator of the Drum And Bass Polska page. Author of promo texts for Absys Records and and records. Co-founder of the atmoteka series whose mission is to keep the atmospheric drum & bass vibes alive. He used to be a frequent guest of the "Sety Didżejskie" radio show aired on Radio Kampus, hosted his own show called "Ace of Bass" on Radio Rewers, and played in many different clubs in Poland. He has also played Tekken 3, Warcraft II, Final Fantasy VII, and many other games. He is very fond of the color black, preferably in the form of flat discs which he has been collecting for a good couple of dozen years and is unlikely to stop. In the face of a crisis, he would sooner sell his brother than his collection. He also hopes his brother isn't reading this bio.

FUTURA 041: asx [Vinyl Only]

Introducing a new series of mixes inspired in part by old Eclipse tapes. These would feature sets from various DJs followed by a number to delineate which individual set from the artist it was.
With that in mind we've set about curating a series of mixes from artists who we feel embody the style of music Torre represents. Expect established names within the scene alongside talented new comers, as well as some DJ's who we feel have thus far flown under the radar.
