Freshman Halloween

idk life is nuts.

there's nothing worse than wet socks while you're walking out in the rain
got my sweatshirt on, i'm uncomfortable
there's nothing better than coming home after a million hour day
just lay on the couch and watch some grey's

i like that i'm well liked by my peers
that's one of the things that changed this year
i'm glad that i don't hate my body
took me a bit, but it's my only body
i like that most days i feel fine
a bold statement, but no longer a lie
and i'm glad i have the friends i've got
big thanks to them, they've gotten me through a lot

everything is changing, even i am changing
i write less about less, feel my chest build up and burst with my stress
my eyes are tired, from staring at my screen
try to find meaning, reading in between the lines that i see

i like that i have thoughts of my own
that's one of the things i truly own
i'm glad that i don't fake who i am
yeah you might hate me, but it's who i am
i like that i do things for myself
cuz sometimes i don't want to share my wealth
