Where Suede want to be now is, in a way, the same place as they were when they began 30 years ago – a group of people living off the raw sensation of making a racket in a room. “When we were rehearsing and writing this record and playing things like ‘15 Again’ it was this sheer, physical rush. It reminded me of (early Suede B-Side) ‘Painted People’ or something, that thing where you're hanging on for dear life,” says Mat Osman. “There's a lot to be said for every now and then just resetting yourself, and reminding yourself what is so great about being in a band.” Taken from their forthcoming album AUTOFICTION out on the 16th September 2022.

15 Again

It’s the return of one of our favourite EP series, Shellerz. As you’ll all know by now, we love supporting rising talents in the scene, and those who more established, but continue to push the bar to exciting levels. This is what Shellerz is about – celebrating the breadth of drum and bass acts shelling it in our scene.

Volume Two does exactly this. From familiar label faces including Bennie, Napes and Jenks, to less familiar (but just as awesome) talents in XAV, CLB, Fernquest and Stance, to the mighty Sub Zero blessing us with a dub that has been doing the rounds at our events for a long time. This EP is testament to the health of the D&B scene.

If Volume One was anything to go by, which featured Toby Ross, J Select, Toxinate and 4K, then you can expect the artists on Volume Two to get a lot of people talking in the coming months. Shellerz incoming.

Let Me Down is the fourth single to be taken from an upcoming EP set to be released later this year, it shows a natural progression in the bands writing both musically and lyrically. With an extensive production which combines synths, electronic percussion and psychedelic elements with the traditional guitar based sound, Freeda aim to bring something new to the table.

Based out of Manchester, Freeda have built a committed following and sold out headline shows along the way. Highlights so far include selling out hometown shows at The Deaf Institute + Manchester Academy 3 and performances at festivals including Y Not?, Tramlines, Dot 2 Dot and 110 Above. Freeda released 'Better On Your Own' and 'Into My Head' at the start of 2022, achieving top 5 on the iTunes Alternative Chart, consecutive Radio X UK National Airplay, Playlisting on XS Manchester, BBC Introducing Lancs Track of the Week, winning the Amazing Radio Audition Poll and featuring on the Spotify Fresh Finds UK Editorial Playlist. The new single “Chasing Yesterday’’ is another prime example of the band’s breezy indie-pop exploits - bright uplifting instrumentation topped with melancholy tinged vocals. Awash with vibrant intertwining guitar and synth lines. Freeda perform at YNot? Festival on the 29th July and headline Band on the Wall in Manchester on September 3rd 2022.
