Gary Numan once asked, "Are friends electric?“ We have been fascinated by his electronic music and that of other artists like Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Giorgio Moroder together with our eternal Disco-Queen Donna Summer. Later Frankie Knuckles brought house music into gay clubs - places where avant-garde has always had its home. 

Electronic music has never been as diverse as it is today. But we are tired of commercial gay parties and boring electronic music for the masses or always the same top 40 remixes again and again. We like it deep, underground and a little funky.

GAYLECTRO is part of a movement to return gay clubbing back to its roots. We believe in the principle of diversity and the influence of different cultures into music - for instance electronic music in Asia has influences other than that of South America or Africa. There are so many different, talented artists in the world. We want to discover them and their diversity.

That´s why we only promote DJs, tracks, events and clubs that have electronic music we truly stand behind. We collaborate with DJs, promoters and anyone who is LGTBIQ-friendly, open-minded, and just as passionate about electronic music as we are. GAYLECTRO is our attempt to encourage people to try something new and to turn gay clubs and events into avant-garde places again.
