Put simply, it can transform you, changing your sense of reality and understanding of the world around you, as well as how you feel within. That's something this rhythmic principle so dear to our dancing activities does to us regardless of tempo or setting, of place or time, and its power is what puts this mix by gifted Parisian selector Clémentine in motion by propelling it while it carries us through a vast array of moods and moments, from intimacy to flamboyancy, from our ears to our feet, from dusk till dawn. First up is Christos Davidopoulos , the soul of the legendary independent Optimal record store in Munich where I bought my first TV Personalities 45  sometime in the early 80´s after a long ride with my tuned up Velo Solex,comin all the  way  from Augsburg town.
Christos is a living encyclopedia of music & subculture literature and the only collector of christmas records that I know, here in his little mixtape he showcases his love for Jamaican early soulful Reggae & Rocksteady 45s , with some late 70´s lovers thrown in for good measure.
This set was recorded at our Waxsafari spring edition record fair 3/2024 @ Perle.Munich.

It´s the third day of december...& three is the magic number, right? 
Lights, camera, action for a true DJ underground heroe, Tyrolian native DJ Enne. I met him first on some Cosmic music events back in the 80´s where he was THE man & the connection to the Italian cosmic music scene , especially to a certain Mr Beppe Loda. "For the last six months or so I’ve been religiously attending DJ Clyde’s Sunday Night Roll at Skateland in Northridge. True roller skating culture was not something I grew up with, so for me, seeing this place for the first time was mind-blowing. The first thing I noticed was the majority of the skaters were middle aged (or “grown and sexy” as Clyde likes to say.) They were impressively skilled, many of them with custom skates made from oxford shoes. This was and is a place for people who see roller skating as a way of life. The most notable element for me was DJ Clyde the Glide’s hand-selected funk/soul music and how deeply the skaters lost themselves in it. He was playing the types of records I had been digging for, but presented in a new way. This mix is inspired by the music played Sunday nights at Skateland. Enjoy." - Daniel T
