Those of you who were with us on the night will know what a treat it was to have long time Subbie family member & former Subculture resident Esa, back at the controls. Taking us on a five hour journey in sound as he transversed all manner of global vibes & energies with effortless style & charisma, weaving together a magical selection ranging from choice House cuts & Acid thumpers to spiritual Afrobeat & Jazz rhythms. Get your ears round the mix below for a proper taster,  then come join us on the floor this Friday for what promises to be another special night. 

AWEH returns to the Sub Club for their second party this Friday with Esa & Masalo going back to back from open to close! 

AWEH is a new musical experience for Glasgow by long time Subbie family member and former Subculture resident, @esawilliams. For this party, Esa has invited @rushhourmusic affiliate and Amsterdam born & based (via Japan) artist @masalo-music to join him for a five hour journey in sound. 🔊

Coming to the brand new label Meet Me There Records is this new album from the 8-piece group Saltpond City Band.

Boko A Ko is the debut LP from the octet, originally formed by the legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Ebo Taylor and now led by his son Henry Taylor. 

The 8 track album is set to release this Friday and is a burning selection of dancefloor heaters blending soulful highlife and percussive funk.
