welcome along to our Mixtape Paradiso advent calender für music lovers & vinyl dreams.
First up is Christos Davidopoulos , the soul of the legendary independent Optimal record store in Munich where I bought my first TV Personalities 45  sometime in the early 80´s after a long ride with my tuned up Velo Solex,comin all the  way  from Augsburg town.
Christos is a living encyclopedia of music & subculture literature and the only collector of christmas records that I know, here in his little mixtape he showcases his love for Jamaican early soulful Reggae & Rocksteady 45s , with some late 70´s lovers thrown in for good measure.
This set was recorded at our Waxsafari spring edition record fair 3/2024 @ Perle.Munich.

It´s the third day of december...& three is the magic number, right? 
Lights, camera, action for a true DJ underground heroe, Tyrolian native DJ Enne. I met him first on some Cosmic music events back in the 80´s where he was THE man & the connection to the Italian cosmic music scene , especially to a certain Mr Beppe Loda. We continue our DJ Mixtape Paradiso advent calender with one of the finest european reissue labels for funk,soul,rare grooves, psych & jazz,  Tramp records . 21 years of Tramp means more than 100 releases done with lot´s of diggin love & passion , all properly licensed by Tobias Kirmayer himself  in a little farmer Grandma house in the small bavarian village  Fahrenzhausen, North of Munich. The first ever mix from the beat loft parties.  

beat is a new experience created by Ralph Lawson & Tom Van Zeller - fusing food and music in one space. bespoke one off venues turned into a bar, restaurant and 
loft party for one or two nights only.  

the first beat was scheduled for march 23rd and sold out very quickly so we added an extra date on march 22nd which also sold out. this mix was recorded live from one of those events.  

I love playing in clubs but in a loft party space the freedom opens up for the dj to play more diverse sounds and people can get down and totally lose themselves in the music in a magical environment.

I don't want to recreate the past and just play old music.  I want to create my own version of the long running loft tradition that started way back with David Mancuso in New York. I also don't take the name in vain.  It is about creating a space and a vibe so people feel like they are entering your house and everyone is open to letting the music take control.  I played a few classics but also there is a lot of new music in the mix and many edits.  special thanks to DJ Butcher for supplying so many great Chopshop edits.   

the first beat events went exactly as we had hoped, they have inspired us to continue the concept.  we'd love you to get involved if this is where your heart is and come and make the next beat events just as good.
