welcome along to our Mixtape Paradiso advent calender für music lovers & vinyl dreams.
First up is Christos Davidopoulos , the soul of the legendary independent Optimal record store in Munich where I bought my first TV Personalities 45  sometime in the early 80´s after a long ride with my tuned up Velo Solex,comin all the  way  from Augsburg town.
Christos is a living encyclopedia of music & subculture literature and the only collector of christmas records that I know, here in his little mixtape he showcases his love for Jamaican early soulful Reggae & Rocksteady 45s , with some late 70´s lovers thrown in for good measure.
This set was recorded at our Waxsafari spring edition record fair 3/2024 @ Perle.Munich.

It´s the third day of december...& three is the magic number, right? 
Lights, camera, action for a true DJ underground heroe, Tyrolian native DJ Enne. I met him first on some Cosmic music events back in the 80´s where he was THE man & the connection to the Italian cosmic music scene , especially to a certain Mr Beppe Loda. I had the immense pleasure of being hosted in the splendid Balearic Brekfast show of the lovely Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy in November 2024, for the 'Archeo Recordings 10 Year Anniversary', with my mix and a special interview in which I also talked about my musical origins and the scene music in which I grew up, between Florence and Bologna ( https://www.balearicbreakfast.com/post/balearic-breakfast-episode-200-meeting-manu-archeo-archeo-recordings ).
On this occasion I took inspiration to make this mix.
These are some of my favorite songs by my favorite bands from the Italian New Wave / Alternative Rock 80s scene, mainly from Florence and Bologna, my cities: Litfiba, Diaframma, Gaz Nevada, Neon, Confusional Quartet, and again ... Violet Eves, Kirlian Camera and Pankow.
At the beginning of the 80s I was too young to have been to their concerts (I did it later, at the beginning of the 90s for some of these bands) but I still breathed that wonderful air of excitement and innovation and I listened to this music at home from my mother's vinyl collection: 'I was a child and I never stopped discovering beyond the boundaries of reality'.
